एमजीएम विद्यापीठात राष्ट्रीय प्रेस दिनानिमित्त व्याख्यानाचे आयोजन
आधुनिक भारताच्या निर्मितीत माध्यमांचा मोलाचा वाटा असून माध्यमे नसती तर कदाचित आधुनिक भारताचे निर्माण होऊ शकले नसते. आपल्या समाजाचा प्रवाह कसा असेल, हे माध्यम निश्चित करते, असे मत एबीपी माझा वृत्तवाहिनीच्या कार्यकारी संपादक सरिता कौशिक यांनी व्यक्त केले. एमजीएम विद्यापीठाच्या वृत्तपत्रविद्या आणि जनसंवाद महाविद्यालयाच्या वतीने राष्ट्रीय प्रेस दिनानिमित्त 'राष्ट्र उभारणीत माध्यमांचे योगदान' या विषयावर आयोजित व्याख्यानात त्या बोलत होत्या.
ज्येष्ठ संपादक प्रवीण बर्दापूरकर कार्यक्रमाच्या अध्यक्षस्थानी होते. तर, या वेळी एमजीएम विद्यापीठाचे कुलपती अंकुशराव कदम, एमजीएम वृत्तपत्रविद्या व जनसंवाद महाविद्यालयाच्या प्राचार्य डॉ. रेखा शेळके, प्राध्यापक, विद्यार्थी उपस्थित होते.
सरिता कौशिक पुढे म्हणाल्या, भारताचा जन्म माध्यमामुळे नव्हे तर माध्यमांच्या मदतीने झाला आहे. देश हा एक भौगोलिक प्रदेश असतो आणि भौगोलिक सीमा कधीही बदलू शकतात तर राष्ट्र ही संकल्पना देशात राहणाऱ्या लोकांनी बनलेली असते. राष्ट्र ही भावनिक आणि कर्तव्यात्मक धर्माची गोष्ट आहे. भारतात राहणारे लोक, भारतीयत्व आणि आपले कर्तव्य या तीन बाबी राष्ट्रभावनेत फार महत्वाच्या असतात. स्वातंत्र्यपूर्व काळात वर्तमानपत्र नसती तर कदाचित लोकांना संदेश देण्यात अडचण आली असती आणि हा देश स्वतंत्र होण्यातही समस्या निर्माण झाली असती. स्वातंत्र्यानंतर आणीबाणी काळापर्यंत माध्यमे सरकारसोबत होती. या कालखंडात देश नव्याने उभारणी घेऊ पाहत होता आणि त्याचे परिणामही माहीत नव्हते. त्याच काळात जर नाकारत्मकता निर्माण झाली असती तर कदाचित आज देश असा नसता. ही नकारात्मकता न बनू देणे आणि देशाला सकारात्मक ऊर्जा देण्याचे काम माध्यमांनी केली. आणीबाणी काळात माध्यमांना झुकायला सांगितले तर त्यांनी सपशेल लोटांगण घातले, असे म्हटले जायचे. तेव्हाही काही वर्तमानपत्र छुप्या पद्धतीने निघत होते. ही छुपी पद्धत आणि आजचे सोशल मीडिया हे काहीशे समसमानच वाटतात. सध्याच्या काळात मुद्रित आणि इलेक्ट्रॉनिक माध्यमे अत्यंत प्रभावी शस्त्र आहेत. देशांतर्गत माध्यमे देशाची प्रतिमा नीट मांडणार नाही तोपर्यंत आंतरराष्टBy AIN News TV| 15 views
