Suresh Raina lauds finisher MS Dhoni for match-winning knock and more cricket news
The Chennai Super Kings beat Mumbai Indians by three wickets in their IPL 2022 clash at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on April 21. Thus, CSK registered their second victory of the ongoing season while Mumbai’s winless streak continued with their playoff hopes quickly diminishing.
The battle between the arch-rivals went right down to the wire and it was the MS Dhoni show that helped the defending champions get past the finish line in a last-ball thriller. Meanwhile, Dhoni’s former India and CSK teammate Suresh Raina came forward and gave him a special mention.
Taking to Twitter Suresh Raina posted two images. One of them featured skipper Ravindra Jadeja bowing down to Dhoni while the other showed the CSK skipper hitting the winning runs. “The most awaited match of the tournament #CSKvMI. A much needed innings by our very own @msdhoni bhai at the end, always a delight to watch! Congratulations to the whole #CSK team on another massive win,” Raina wrote.
Coming back to the contest, Tilak Varma’s 43-ball 51 helped Mumbai Indians in posting a respectable total of 155/7. In reply, the Mumbai bowlers ensured that CSK struggled right from the beginning despite chasing a manageable target. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were reduced to 88/4 in the 13th over after in-form Shivam Dube‘s dismissal.
With the asking rate getting steeper at the death overs, MI bowlers applied the stranglehold on CSK and it appeared that the former might finally earn their first two points. However, Dhoni ensured that the five-time champions had to wait another day as he played the finisher’s role to perfection.
The veteran stumper hit pacer Jaydev Unadkat for 14 runs which included a six and two fours in the last over. He scored the winning boundary on the final ball to hand CSK an emphatic win and remained unbeaten on 28 runs from 13 deliveries at an outstanding strike rate of 215.4.

दरअसल, बीएस धनोआ ने एयर चीफ मार्शल का कार्यभार 31 दिसंबर 2016 में संभाला था और चीफ होने के साथ साथ चीफ ऑफ़ स्टाफ कमिटी के चेयरमैन भी थे, जो की उन्हें इंडियन मिलिट्री का सबसे सीनियर मोस्ट अफसर बनाती है, लेकिन अब इस पोस्ट से भी रिटायर हो चुके है और सारा कार्यभार आर्मी चीफ बिपिन रावत संभालेंगे।धनोआका जन्म 7 सितम्बर 1957 को झारखण्ड के देवघर शहर में हुआ था। इनके पिता सारायण सिंह जो की एक IAS अधिकारी थे और इनके दादा कैप्टेन संत सिंह ब्रिटिश इंडियन आर्मी की तरफ से द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध में एक कैप्टेन के रूप में शामिल रहे थे। जिससे ये तो तय था की देशभक्ति इनके खून में हैऔर जनसेवा अपने पूर्वजों से विरासत में लेकर आए है। बीएस धनोआ ने देहरादून के राष्ट्रीय इंडियन मिलिट्री कॉलेज में पढ़ाई की है और खुद की कड़ी मेहनत से पुणे की नेशनल डिफेन्स अकैडमी से ग्रेजुएट हुए और यही से इनके शानदर मिलिट्री करियर की शुरुआत हुई। बीएस धनोआ को जून 1978 में इंडियन एयर फाॅर्स की फाइटर स्ट्रीम में नियुक्त किया गया। जहा उन्होंने कई अलग अलग तरह के फइटर्स को उड़ाया और वे एक क्वालिफाइड फ्लाइंग इंस्ट्रक्टर भी बने और इन्होने अपने स्पेक्ट्रम में SEPECAT Jaguar, Kiran, MiG-29, MIG-21, Sukhoi Su-30 जैसे फइटर्स को उड़ाया है और इनके 37 साल के करियर में इन्हे कई महत्वपूर्ण जगहों पर नियुक्त किया गया....
Actually, BS Dhanoa took the charge of Air Chief Marshal on 31 December 2016 and was the Chief as well as the Chairman of the Chief of Staff Committee, which makes him the most senior most officer of Indian Military, but now also from this post Retired and the entire assignment will be handled by Army Chief Bipin Rawat. Dhanoka was born on 7 September 1957 in Deoghar city of Jharkhand. His father Sarayan Singh who was an IAS officer and his grandfather Captain Sant Singh had been involved in World War II as a captain on behalf of the British Indian Army.
