According to an IBM report titled “Global A.I. Adoption Index 2022”, over 60% of Indian companies have already been using A.I., which has been said to have increased due to the pandemic enforced digitisation, and many believe that there is no turning point from here.

The survey says only 61% of the participants are aware of what bias in artificial intelligence is. 65 % of the participants stated that they try avoiding A.I.-enabled features such as phone unlocking using face ID, digital voice assistance, etc. 55% of the participants believe that A.I. and its use is indispensable in today’s day and age. Only 17% of the participants answer yes that there are any laws in our country that govern the usage of A.I.

An SMS can defraud your bank account
Increasing #digitaltransactions in the country has opened the way for fraudsters to do frauds through phishing, smishing and more. One is a payment link scam, which is not new but keeps appearing here and there. Second, auto-installing mobile malware through links and SMS forwarding apps is also part of the modus operandi the fraudsters are using.
Generally, the smartphone users are the soft target of #cyberattacks. But the more we know about such malicious practices and using simple tips, the more we can protect ourselves online. The rule number one is all the smartphone users have to be smart enough and know how to use the smartphone, they must know the do’s and don’ts of using a smartphone, else they should shift to a feature phone.
Through the smishing scam techniques, someone can get the user’s personal or financial information via #SMS or instant messaging (on social networks) by pretending to be an entity such as a bank or a credit card company. The phishing attempt starts when victims arrive at the malicious websites through some means, usually through social engineering.
Attackers could send the link to the sites in an SMS that is made to look like it is coming from a bank or other service provider. They typically create a sense of urgency so that users don’t take time to think before clicking on the link. Such domains identified by the researchers pose as fake complaint portals.
After installation, the malicious application is then used to send all incoming messages on the victims’ phones to the servers controlled by the scammer. The attackers haven’t used logos or names of Indian banks in order to avoid attracting suspicion and detection. The malicious app is not hosted on the Google Play Store or any third-party application stores.

A report says that there has been changing payment preferences of consumers across nine geographies, including India, in the past 12 months. The survey, which mined the views of 13,000 global shoppers, also found that 69% of respondents will shop more frequently at retailers that accept digital payments. The pandemic has been a major catalyst for shifting consumers' spending and payments patterns that retailers cannot afford to ignore. In terms of mobile commerce adoption, our research shows that Indians are leading when compared to their global counterparts.
The survey also shows that shoppers are spending more money and have a deeper connection with retailers that offer more seamless digital payment methods regardless of which channel they are shopping in. Overall, this presents an opportunity for retailers to help consumers make potentially temporary spending habits more permanent. Going forward, a new policy is going to get introduced starting from 1st January 2022 which will provide more security to the frequent credit card users, payment Gateways and portals that can not store any credit card details, which they are collecting and storing it by masking where the chances of misuse by the hackers are high. You may require to enter all the card details on each purchase, one way it is good to safe your credit card, but the user experience for the millennials will be different and hence they will shift to Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and it will increase drastically and there will be less dependency on the payment aggregators and payment gateways.

In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar, Bhumi spoke about the latter group of people and slammed them for the shaming. She expressed her disappointment towards people who didn’t criticise the film but its intent. The actress discussed the prevalent gender bias and how people never took offence when she was a part of such stories told from a male perspective. She pointed out how Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 was supported by the same people who shamed her film, when somewhere they dealt with the same subject. Bhumi revealed if not getting any support from women within the industry disappointed her.
