    Una (Himachal) : Mining mafia is active in Una for a long time. The matter of mining in the district has reached the NGT and recently the panel of NGT in Una has even taken stock of the mining activities. After this, it has now been decided to completely ban mining activities for the next two and a half months. According to the order issued by the mining department, from July 1 to September 15, there will be no mining work in the main Sombhadra river and all other tributaries of the district for the next two and a half months....
    ऊना में खनन माफिया पिछले काफी समय से सक्रिय है। जिला में खनन का मामला एनजीटी तक पहुंच चुका है और पिछले दिनों ऊना में एनजीटी का पैनल खनन गतिविधियों का जायजा तक ले चुका है। इसके बाद अब खनन गतिविधियों पर आगामी अढ़ाई माह तक पूरी तरह से प्रतिबंध लगाने का फैसला लिया गया है। खनन विभाग की ओर से जारी आदेश के मुताबिक पहली जुलाई से 15 सितंबर तक जिला की प्रमुख सोमभद्रा नदी और अन्य सभी सहायक खड्डों में अगले अढ़ाई माह तक खनन का कोई काम नहीं होगा। यहां तक की नदी और खड्डों में लीज देकर खनन के लिए अधिकृत किए गए लोग भी इस दौरान माइनिंग के लिए पूरी तरह से प्रतिबंधित रहेंगे। खनन विभाग द्वारा मानसून सीजन के चलते यह फैसला लिया गया है जिसमें पर्यावरण के अनुरूप व्यवहार को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए खनन पर पूरी तरह से प्रतिबंध लगाया गया है। जिला खनन अधिकारी नीरज कांत ने आदेश जारी करते हुए कहा कि विभाग द्वारा इस दौरान खनन के लिए सभी लीज संबंधित क्षेत्रों के साथ-साथ अन्य खनन संभावित स्थानों पर भी नजर रखी जाएगी। ताकि नियमों के उल्लंघन पर आवश्यक कार्रवाई अमल में लाई जा सके। उधर एनजीटी में चले रहे केस की रिपोर्ट तैयार करने में विभाग जुटा है और एक सप्ताह में रिपोर्ट सौंपी जाएगी।

    सांबा के नड ब्लाक में खड्ड दरिया में रेत का अवैध खनन करते हुए 2 ट्रैक्टरों को मौके से पकड़ा। वहीं लोगों को देख चालक मौके से फरार हो गया। गुस्साए दर्जनों लोगों ने खड्ड में इक्टठे होकर भूविज्ञान और खनन विभाग के खिलाफ जोरदार प्रदर्शन करके उन पर रेत उठाने के लिए मिलिभगत का आरोप लगाया। इस दौरान प्रदर्शनकारियों ने विभाग के खिलाफ मुर्दाबाद के नारे लगाए। प्रदर्शनकारी लोगों ने एक ट्रैक्टर को नड पुलिस चौकी के हवाले कर दिया, जबकि एक ट्रैक्टर को खड्ड में ही रहने दिया।आरोप है कि पिछले कई सालों से रेत की खनन बंद होने से उनके घर के कुंओं व नलों में पानी आसानी से पहुंच रहा है, क्योंकि पानी का स्तर अब बेहतर हो गया है, लेकिन अब कुछ लोग रेत की चोरी करने पर ही अडिग हो गए हैं।
