देश के नागरिकों के लिए एक समान नागरिक संहिता कानून लाने की तैयारी केंद्र सरकार ने शुरु कर दी है। कहा जा रहा है कि इस कानून का बिल किसी भी समय संसद में पेश किया जा सकता है। दरअसल, इस बात की आशंका इस लिए भी बढ़ गई है क्योंकि केंद्र सरकार ने उत्तराखंड में समान नागरिक संहिता के लिए कमेटी बनाकर सर्वेक्षण करने को हरी झंडी दे दी है। केंद्र के इस फैसले को पूरे देश में समान नागरिक संहिता के बीज की तरह देखा जा रहा है।

तीन तलाक के बाद अब समान नागरिक संहिता की बारी!
समान नागरिक संहिता का अर्थ एक धर्मनिरपेक्ष यानी सेक्युलर कानून होता है, जो सभी धर्म के लोगों के लिए समान रूप से लागू होता है। यह किसी भी धर्म या जाति के सभी निजी कानूनों से ऊपर होता है। यही वजह है कि विश्व के अधिकतर आधुनिक देशों में ऐसे कानून लागू हैं। आजादी के बाद से भारत में भी एकरूपता लाने के लिए एक ऐसे कानून बनाए जाने की बात होती रही है...जो सब पर एक समान लागू हो। हालांकि अभी तक इस बात पर सहमति नहीं बन पाई है। मोदी सरकार के आने के बाद जिस तरह से तीन तलाक को लेकर कानून बनाया गया है। उसके बाद से यह कयास लगाए जा रहे हैं कि मोदी सरकार अब समान नागरिक संहिता लागू करने की दिशा में आगे बढ़ रही है।
