TRAILBLAZERS EP 3 - In conversation with Kaustubh Radkar, Ironman Triathlon Athlete

Kaustubh Radkar is a former national swimming champion and 23-time Ironman Triathlon finisher, which is one of the toughest Triathlons in the world and is also recognized as an elite athlete.

Kaustubh Radkar shares an insight on how he got into running and the difficulties he faced initially while doing 3k and 5 km runs. He then talks about his preparations for the 2007 World Championships in Hawaii, which is considered on the most difficult sporting events in the world and how he bounced back from the issues he faced leading up to and on the day of the event.

Mr. Radkar speaks about the mental strength required during an Ironman Triathlon and advises how one should cope and tackle obstacles when they are on the verge of giving up.

Kaustubh Radkar says his aim to get 100 Indians to cross the finish line of an Ironman Triathlon by 2020 and shares his plans for the future. As India’s first certified Ironman Triathlon Coach, he takes group sessions every week. He also describes his passion for competing in the Triathlon and what keeps him going.
