നീണ്ട കാത്തിരിപ്പിനൊടുവില്‍ പുറത്തെടുത്ത ഐഫോണ്‍ പ്രോ മോഡലുകളുടെ മൂന്നു ക്യാമറകള്‍ അടുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത് അത്യന്തം അസ്വസ്ഥമാക്കുന്ന രീതിയിലാണെന്ന് വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ പടരുകയാണ്. പ്രോ മോഡലുകളുടെ മുഖ്യാകര്‍ഷണവും മുഖമുദ്രയും അവയുടെ മൂന്നു ക്യാമറകളാണ്. ഇതാദ്യമല്ല ഒരു കമ്പനി മൂന്നോ അതിലേറെയോ ക്യാമറകളുള്ള ഫോണുകളുമായി എത്തുന്നത്. മറ്റൊരു ഫോണിനെക്കുറിച്ചും പറയാത്ത പരാതിയാണ് ഐഫോണ്‍ പ്രോ മോഡലുകളെക്കുറിച്ച് ലോകത്തിന്റെ പല ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നും ഉയരുന്നത്. അവയ്ക്ക് ട്രൈപോഫോബിയ ഉണ്ടെന്നാണ് പലരും ട്വിറ്ററില്‍ പങ്കുവയ്ക്കുന്ന അഭിപ്രായം.
എന്താണ് ട്രൈപോഫോബിയ (Trypophobia)? അധികം പറഞ്ഞു കേള്‍ക്കാത്ത ഈ വാക്കിന് അര്‍ഥം ക്രമമായി അല്ലാതെ പിടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന എന്തിന്റെയെങ്കിലും കൂട്ടത്തിനെയാണ് ഇങ്ങനെ വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. ക്രമരഹിതമായ ദ്വാരങ്ങളും തടിപ്പുകളുമൊക്കെ ഈ ഗണത്തില്‍ പെടുത്താം. ഇത്തരം ഭാഗങ്ങളുടെ കാഴ്ച ചിലരെ അസ്വസ്ഥരാക്കും. ഇതിനെയാണ് ട്രൈപോഫോബിയ എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നത്. കടന്നല്‍ക്കൂട്, തേനീച്ചക്കൂട് തുടങ്ങിയവയെ ഈ ഗണത്തില്‍ പെടുത്താറുണ്ട്. സമൂഹ മാധ്യമങ്ങളില്‍ എന്തായാലും ഐഫോണ്‍ പ്രോ മോഡലുകളുടെ മൂന്നു ക്യാമറകളുടെ ചിത്രത്തെ നോക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നവരെ അസ്വസ്ഥരാക്കുന്നു എന്ന് അവകാശപ്പെടുന്നവര്‍ വര്‍ധിക്കുകയാണ്.
പ്രോ മോഡലുകളിലെ മൂന്നു ലെന്‍സുകള്‍ വളരെ അടുത്താണിരിക്കുന്നത്. ട്രൈപോഫോബിയ രോഗികളെ അത്തരം കാഴ്ചകള്‍ അസ്വസ്ഥരാക്കും. അമിത ഉത്കണ്ഠ (panic attack), തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ ഇത്തരക്കാരില്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കുമെന്ന് പഠനങ്ങള്‍ പറയുന്നു. എന്തായാലും ആപ്പിളിന്റെ ഐഫോണ്‍ പ്രോമോഡലുകളുടെ ക്യാമറകള്‍ ദ്വാരങ്ങളെ ഓര്‍മിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നാണ് പൊതുവെ പറയുന്നത്. മറ്റു പല കമ്പനികളും ചെയ്തതു പോലെ ഒരേ നിരയില്‍ തന്നെ ക്യാമറകള്‍ പിടിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍ പ്രശ്‌നമുണ്ടാവില്ലായിരുന്നു എന്നാണ് ചിലര്‍ പറയുന്നത്

ഐഫോണ്‍ അനാവരണ ചടങ്ങില്‍ അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായാണ് ആപ്പിള്‍ പുതിയ ഐപാഡ് അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്. തങ്ങളുടെ നിലവിലുള്ള ഏറ്റവും വില കുറഞ്ഞ 9.7-ഇഞ്ച് ഐപാഡിനു പകരമായി പുതിയ 10.2-ഇഞ്ച് വലുപ്പമുള്ള ടാബ്‌ലറ്റ് അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ് ആപ്പിള്‍. തുടക്ക ഐപാഡിന്റെ വില തന്നെയായിരിക്കും ഇതിനും - 329 ഡോളര്‍. ഏഴാം തലമുറ ഐപാഡ് എന്ന് അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഈ ഉപകരണം വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്കും മറ്റും 299 ഡോളറിനും വാങ്ങാന്‍ സാധിക്കും. ഐപാഡ് എയര്‍ 3, ഐപാഡ് പ്രോ തുടങ്ങിയ മോഡലുകളുടെ സ്‌ക്രീന്‍ വിലുപ്പം തുടങ്ങുന്നത് 10.5-ഇഞ്ചിലാണ്. ആപ്പിള്‍ ബുദ്ധിപൂര്‍വ്വം ആ വലുപ്പം തുടക്ക മോഡലിനു നല്‍കിയിട്ടില്ലെന്നു കാണാം. പക്ഷേ, ഇനി കമ്പനി പഴയ 9.7 ഇഞ്ച് വലുപ്പമുള്ള മോഡല്‍ ഇറക്കിയേക്കില്ല. വലുപ്പം കുറഞ്ഞ ഐപാഡ് വേണ്ടവര്‍ ഐപാഡ് മിനി വാങ്ങേണ്ടതായി വരും.
ഈ വര്‍ഷം ഇനിയും ഐപാഡുകള്‍ ഇറങ്ങുമെന്നാണ് അഭ്യൂഹങ്ങള്‍ പറയുന്നത്. ഒക്ടോബറിലാണ് ആപ്പിളിന്റെ വാര്‍ഷിക ഐപാഡ് സമ്മേളനം നടത്തുക. അപ്പോള്‍ പുതിയ പ്രോ മോഡലുകള്‍ അടക്കം അനാവരണം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടേക്കാം. സെപ്റ്റംബര്‍ മീറ്റിങ്ങില്‍ ഐപാഡുകള്‍ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന പതിവ് ആപ്പിളിനില്ലായിരുന്നു.
പുതിയ മോഡലിന് ശക്തി പകരുന്നത് ആപ്പിളിന്റെ പഴയ എ10 ഫ്യൂഷന്‍ പ്രോസസറാണ്. രണ്ടാം തലമുറ ഐപാഡ് പ്രോ മോഡലുകളില്‍ കാണുന്ന എ10X ചിപ്പിനേക്കാള്‍ ശക്തി കുറവാണിതിന്. എന്നാല്‍ നിലവിലുള്ള തുടക്ക ഐപാഡിനേക്കാള്‍ വളരെ ശക്തി കൂടുതലും ഉണ്ടിതിന്. ഈ ഐപാഡിന്റെ ഫ്രെയിം നൂറു ശതമാനം റീസൈക്കിൾഡ് അലൂമിനിയത്തില്‍ നിന്ന സൃഷ്ടിച്ചതാണെന്നും ആപ്പിള്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. ഇതിന് എന്തു കണക്ടറാണ് നല്‍കുക എന്നറിയില്ല. ഏറ്റവും പുതിയ പ്രോ മോഡലുകള്‍ക്ക് ആപ്പിൾ യുഎസ്ബി-സിയിലേക്കു മാറിയിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ലൈറ്റ്‌നിങ് പോര്‍ട്ട് തന്നെയായിരിക്കാം തുടക്ക ഐപാഡിന്റെ കണക്ടര്‍ എന്നാണ് അനുമാനം. ടച് ഐഡി ഇതിനുണ്ടെന്നതും ലൈറ്റ്‌നിങ് കണക്ടര്‍ ആയിരിക്കാമെന്ന വാദത്തിന് ബലം നല്‍കുന്നു. ഏറ്റവും പുതിയ പ്രോ മോഡലുകള്‍ക്ക് ഫെയ്‌സ്‌ഐഡി ഉണ്ട്. കൂടാതെ പുതിയ ഐപാഡിന്‍ പെന്‍സില്‍ സപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും അതില്‍ ആദ്യ തലമുറ പെന്‍സില്‍ മാത്രമെ ഉപയോഗിക്കാനാകൂ. ഇതു ചാര്‍ജ് ചെയ്യണമെങ്കിലും ലൈറ്റ്‌നിങ് പോര്‍ട്ട് വേണം.
