    ഗോവയിലെ സ്ഥിരം കാഴ്ചകളിൽ നിന്നും വ്യത്യസ്ത തേടി വണ്ടി മുന്നോട്ടു പായിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഇടയ്ക്കൊന്നു നിർത്തി കറങ്ങുവാൻ പറ്റിയ ഇടം. ചോർലാ ഘട്ട്.
    സഞ്ചാരികൾക്കിടയിൽ ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ട്രെന്‍ഡിങ് ഇടങ്ങളിലൊന്നായി മാറി ചോർലാ ഘട്ട് കാഴ്ചകൾ കൊണ്ടു പിടിച്ചിരുത്തി കളയുന്ന ഒരു നാടാണ്
    .ചോർലാ ഘട്ട് എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചാൽ ഗോവയിലാണെന്ന് പറയാമെങ്കിലും അതു പൂർണ്ണമായും ശരിയല്ല. മൂന്നു സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ അതിർത്തി പങ്കിടുന്ന ഇടത്താണ് ഇവിടം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഗോവ, കര്‍ണ്ണാടക, മഹാരാഷ്ട്ര എന്നീ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ ഒരുമിച്ച അതിർത്തി പങ്കിടുന്ന സ്ഥലമാണ് ഈ ചോർലാ ഘട്ട്. ഗോവയിലെ പനാജിയിൽ നിന്നും 50 കിലോമീറ്ററും കർണ്ണാടകയിലെ ബെൽഗാമിൽ നിന്നും 55 കിലോമീറ്ററുമാണ് ഇവിടേക്കുള്ള ദൂരം. ഗോവയിലെ ബീച്ച് കാഴ്ചകൾ ഒഴിവാക്കി ഒരു യാത്ര ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാൻ യോജിച്ച ഇടമാണ് ചോർലാ ഘട്ട്. സമുദ്ര നിരപ്പിൽ നിന്നും 800 മീറ്റർ ഉയരത്തിൽ കിടക്കുന്ന ഈ സ്ഥലത്തെ ഇക്കോ ടൂറിസം ഡെസ്റ്റിനേഷനായാണ് കണക്കാക്കുന്നത്.
    വംശനാശം സംഭവിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഒട്ടേറെ ജീവി വർഗ്ഗങ്ങളെ ഇവിടെ കാണാം.
    ജൈവവൈവിധ്യ കലവറയായാണ് ഈ പ്രദേശത്തെ ഗവേഷകർ വിലയിരുത്തുന്നത്.
    വെറും കാഴ്ചകൾ മാത്രം തേടിയെത്തുന്നവരെ അതിശയിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഇടമാണ് ഇത്. വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടങ്ങളാണ് ഇവിടുത്തെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ആകർഷണം. ഇത് കൂടാതെ ട്രക്കിങ്ങിനും ഹൈക്കിങ്ങിനും ജംഗിൾ വാക്കിനും ഒക്കെ ഇവിടെ സൗകര്യമുണ്ട്. ഇവിടുത്തെ കുന്നിന്റെ മുകളിലേക്കുള്ള യാത്രയാണ് ഏറ്റവും ആകർഷകമായത്.
