पूर्व विदेश मंत्री व कांग्रेस के प्रत्याशी सलमान खुर्शीद के खिलाफ शहर कोतवाली पुलिस को तहरीर दी गई है | इसमे सलमान खुर्शीद के द्वारा योगी का बाप कहने के खिलाफ कार्यवाही का जिक्र किया गया है | पुलिस ने तहरीर के आधार पर रिपोर्ट दर्ज कर ली है | कांग्रेस प्रत्याशी सलमान खुर्शीद के द्वारा एक प्रेस वार्ता में कहा था कि रिश्ते में तो हम योगी के बाप लगते है | इस बयान ने फ़िलहाल सियासी भूचाल मचा दिया है | सियासी जानकार सलमान के इस बयान को मुस्लिम मतदाताओ को अपने तरफ मिलाने का एक फार्मूला बता रहे है | इस विवादित बयान ने चुनावी आग में घी का काम किया | विश्व हिन्दू महासंघ के नेता सौरभ शुक्ला व अविनाश दुबे आदि ने सलमान खुर्शीद के खिलाफ रिपोर्ट दर्ज कराई है
