The story of Lovely, an 11-year-old from Salapur Kalan, Uttar Pradesh began when she aimed to reach for the stars. A little nervous but with dreams in her eyes, Lovely came forward to become a participant of Girl Empowerment Mission 2023 at NTPC Dadri.

Lovely ki Kahani: Story of a GEM from NTPC Dadri
The story of Lovely, an 11-year-old from Salapur Kalan, Uttar Pradesh began when she aimed to reach for the stars. A little nervous but with dreams in her eyes, Lovely came forward to become a participant of Girl Empowerment Mission 2023 at NTPC Dadri.

Through various training sessions on academics, extracurricular activities and personality development, Lovely found a place to expand her wings and fly in the sky. With sky as the only limit, here she narrates her story, a journey of change.

Girl Empowerment Mission, a flagship initiative of NTPC, has been a stepping-stone towards success for hundreds of girls like Lovely.

An opportunity is what everyone needs to realize their potential and make their dreams come true. NTPC Vindhyachal provided one such chance to learn and grow to 120 girls of nearby area of Vindhyachal, with Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) 2023 “तैयारी कल की”.This flagship program of NTPC as a short film on GEM 2023 which was organised at NTPC Vindhyachal From May 14th – 11th June 2023. Shri Dillip Kumar Patel, Director (HR) during his visit to Vindhyachal on 18.06.2023.

It offers them an opportunity to dive into the other side of their world where women are achieving all heights and changing lives for better.

NTPC Barauni has achieved a significant milestone by securing the first rank in the esteemed National Awards for Water Resources Conservation and Management. The Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, bestowed this prestigious accolade upon NTPC Barauni in the Best Industry Category.

The award was presented by Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, Hon’ble Vice President of India, to Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD NTPC and Shri Rajeev Khanna, Head of Project, NTPC Barauni in the august presence of Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Jal Shakti Minister. This recognition highlights NTPC’s unwavering commitment and exceptional efforts in the conservation and management of water resources.
