NTPC Ramagundam under its CSR-CD presented 240 desk-cum-benches in 17 government schools of nearby areas covering more than 2500 students at Employee Development Centre, NTPC Ramagundam.
500 desk-cum-benches have been procured from District Prison, Karimnagar and shall be distributed phase wise.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Sunil Kumar Executive Director, NTPC (Ramagundam & Telangana) motivated the students to take education seriously as it would allow them to support development of the society.
This initiative is intended towards extending infrastructural support to nearby government schools that would further enhance the learning experiences the students.

NTPC Collaborates to Extend a Helping Hand
NTPC in collaboration with National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (Divyangjan) is providing rehabilitation of Persons with Disability (PwDs) through its Disability Rehabilitation Centres at Bongaigaon through restorative surgeries, medical interventions, fitting of artificial aids and appliances, therapeutic services etc recently .
As part of the initiative, 9 tricycles, 12 smart-canes, 3 wheelchairs, and 1 crutch were presented to 25 beneficiaries from the nearby villages of the power station.

Every year, March 21 is celebrated as the International Day of Forests to raise awareness about the importance of forests and trees for biodiversity. In the year 2012, the United Nations General Assembly established the International Day of Forests. The theme for International Day of Forests 2023 is 'forests and health.'
On the occasion of International Day of Forests, NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana takes you on a nature walk through the Forest grown using Miyawaki technique. Ramagundam was the first station to adopt this method that helps build dense, native forests in a short time. Till date, more than 40,000 trees have been planted in and around NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana using this technique.

Glimpses of NTPC IPS 2023 Indian Power Stations: Event Anchored by NTPC attended by luminaries from Power Sector. Tech Galaxy exhibition was also a great success, with latest technologies for the sector on display.
Every edition of IPS receives an overwhelming response from delegates from India as well as from other countries around the world. Over 700 delegates from power sector in India and other countries participated in the event besides about 75 vendors. The Techno Galaxy exhibition 2023, the exhibition held alongside IPS has over 44 manufacturers putting up their stalls to showcase the state-of-the art products. This year IPS-2023 extended the Tech Galaxy Exhibition by a day to ensure higher participation from middle level managers and disseminate best practices to them.
The event was held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh from Feb 13-15, 2023.

Coal Mining division of NTPC is maintaining its growth trajectory and surpassed its earlier record in terms of coal production and sustainable quality fuel supply to NTPC power plants. With a coal production of 14.55 Million Metric Tonnes till Decโ22 in this fiscal compared with 9.65 Million Metric Tonnes of coal production in the same period of previous year, NTPC has portrayed a phenomenal a year-on-year production growth of 51%. The four operational coal mines viz. Pakri-Barwadih (Jharkhand), Chatti-Bariatu (Jharkhand), Dulanga (Odisha) and Talaipalli (Chhattisgarh) have contributed to accomplish the highest ever monthly coal production of 22.83 Lakh Metric Tonnes in Decemberโ22 since inception. So far, the captive mines have delivered 60.95 Million Metric Tonnes of coal to more than 22 power plants of NTPC. In 3rd quarter of the current fiscal, NTPC has produced 5.79 Million Metric Tonnes coal, the highest ever production in a quarter and despatched 5.42 Million Metric Tonnes to its power plants, which is the best ever quarter performance since inception. Along with this coal production, NTPC has also attained the highest ever monthly overburden removal of 89.16 Lakh cubic meter in Decemberโ22 and achieved overburden removal of 448.77 Lakh cubic meter in this fiscal compared with 206.08 Lakh cubic meter in the same period last year, with year-on-year production growth of 118%.
The growth path for NTPC mining division has not been rosy. It is continuously facing numerous issues. With formidable leadership, spirited workforce and the constant support of District & State Administration, the roadblocks, mainly the agitation of some group of persons with vested interests, could be overcome. Further, with meticulous planning, resource mobilization, and regular monitoring, NTPC has achieved such substantial growth.

As part of the 48th Raising Day celebrations, a cultural program was organized on 11th November 2022 at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi. The program was presented by the children of NTPC employees from projects spread across the country. It was a celebration of music, dance, and culture, highlighting the theme of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' and honoring the nationโs founding principles and patriotism.
