Earthquakes are considered to be nature's most deadliest force that has devastated hundreds and thousands of lives and properties since the earth was formed. In this century alone, earthquakes have taken over a million lives. 20th century's most devastating earthquake's epicenter was at Tangshan, Hebei, China, in July 1976, and had a magnitude of 7.8. It killed more than 242,000 people. Northern Pakistan and Japan were also victims of major earthquakes that scaled to more than 6.9 on Richter magnitude scale. According to seismologists, the sand and dryer faults around San Andreas in southern California is a time bomb for a major earthquake to struck at any time.

Steve Irwin a.k.a The Crocodile Hunter was born on 22nd February 1962 to wildlife experts Lyn and Bob Irwin in Essendon. Steve has been working with crocodiles from the age of 9 under his father's guidance. He rose to fame due to his hit Television Show - 'The Crocodile Hunter' which aired on Australia TV in 1996, which he co-hosted with his wife Lyn Irwin. The Show was also picked up by popular channels like Discovery Network and Animal Planet. While filming for the documentary- 'Ocean's Deadliest', in 1996, Steve was stung by a stingray and was later declared dead due to the injury sustained. Many fans dropped flowers at the Australian Zoo to show tribute to the crocodile hunter. Anyone who spoke against the political rule or refused to fight against the German forces were killed without going through any judicial process. This was quickly followed in 1943 with his promotion to grand admiral. Doenitz succeeded Admiral Raeder as supreme commander of the German navy. After three months, he received the Oak Leaves of the Knight's Cross and on January 30, 1944 he was accorded with the coveted Golden Party Badge for his allegiance to the party.

Steve Irwin a.k.a The Crocodile Hunter was born on 22nd February 1962 to wildlife experts Lyn and Bob Irwin in Essendon. Steve has been working with crocodiles from the age of 9 under his father's guidance. He rose to fame due to his hit Television Show - 'The Crocodile Hunter' which aired on Australia TV in 1996, which he co-hosted with his wife Lyn Irwin. The Show was also picked up by popular channels like Discovery Network and Animal Planet. While filming for the documentary- 'Ocean's Deadliest', in 1996, Steve was stung by a stingray and was later declared dead due to the injury sustained. Many fans dropped flowers at the Australian Zoo to show tribute to the crocodile hunter. His daughter, Bindi, carried out the family's legacy by hosting her own wildlife documentary show called Bindi The Junge Girl.

Joseph Stalin, born on 18 December 1978, was the leader of Soviet Union from 1922 to 1953. He held the post of General Secretary of communist party from the mid-1920s till his death in 1953. Joseph organized a series of purges from 1936 to 1939, known as the 'Great Purge'. Under his guidance, the USSR military carried out 39,488 executions from August 1937 to November 1938 alone. Anyone who spoke against the political rule or refused to fight against the German forces were killed without going through any judicial process. On May 9, 1949, Prince Rainier took authority of Monaco, thus succeeding his grandfather Prince Louis II. Monaco was near bankrupt and had lost its glory through neglect and scandal. Doenitz admired Adolph Hitler and was a strong supporter of the National Socialist German Workers' Nazi Party. In 1942, he was given the Knight's Cross and was promoted to admiral. This was quickly followed in 1943 with his promotion to grand admiral. Doenitz succeeded Admiral Raeder as supreme commander of the German navy. After three months, he received the Oak Leaves of the Knight's Cross and on January 30, 1944 he was accorded with the coveted Golden Party Badge for his allegiance to the party.

As World War II ended in 1945, a pair of Allied peace conferences at Yalta and Potsdam determined the fate of Germany’s territories. With the splitting of the defeated nation into four “allied occupation zones”, the eastern part of the country went to the Soviet Union, while the western part went to the United States, Great Britain, and France. Even though Berlin was located entirely within the Soviet part of the country, the Yalta and Potsdam agreements split the city into similar sectors. Marlene’s career in Germany began to take off in the late 1920s as the actress acted in several stage plays and silent films. Her performance as “Lola-Lola” in “The Blue Angel”, directed by Josef von Sternberg, brought her international fame gaining her a contract with Paramount Pictures. Making film history, she was cast in Germany’s first talking picture “Der Blaue Engel” by Josef. “The Blue Angel”, an English language version, was also filmed using the same cast. In April 1930, shortly after the premiere of “Der Blaue Engel” in Berlin, she moved to America. Marlene made several more films with von Sternberg, including “Morocco”, “Dishonored”, “Shanghai Express”, “The Scarlet Empress”, and “The Devil Is a Woman”.
