Every government organization has a CVO who leads the internal vigilance team to ensure corrective measures and action against corruption.

At GAIL, we encourage good management practices and have made use of technology to digitize processes like tender registrations, billing, etc, to ensure a transparent system for all internal and external stakeholders.
Shri Sandeep Sarkar, CVO, GAIL, highlights that Central Vigilance is not about punitive actions only preventive vigilance is also an important aspect which helps in identifying gaps in the system and ensuring effective implementation.
To create awareness and encourage more and more people to join the movement to remove corruption from the roots of our system, Vigilance Awareness Week is celebrated from 31st October to 6th November. Together we can progress as an ethical nation and make our country rise to the League of developed nations by 2047.

GAIL is India’s leading Natural Gas company with presence across the entire gas value chain. GAIL is playing a proactive role in developing the future gas economy of India by building infrastructure and new market framework. In the last few years, GAIL has ventured into new geographies and undertaken pioneering business ventures to maintain its leadership position.
GAIL is working concurrently on multiple pipeline projects, aggregating over 5400 kms, including the Jagdishpur – Haldia & Bokaro – Dhamra pipeline (JHBDPL), popularly known as the Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga, and the Kochi-Kootanad-Bengaluru/Mangalore Pipeline. The Urja Ganga shall also supply gas to City Gas Distribution networks in cities along the route. This trunk pipeline investment is likely to trigger cascading investments and development of infrastructure in City Gas Distribution, LNG terminal, fertilizer plant revival etc. In order to ensure steady supply of natural gas in the country, GAIL has tied up with both domestic and international sources. Through long term contracts, GAIL has created geographical and indexation diversification of liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies. Linkage to different indices in its LNG portfolio has mitigated risk and has allowed GAIL to offer stable and competitive pricing to its consumers. GAIL has hired its first LNG vessel “Meridian Spirit” on time charter basis to transport US volumes to India. It also has plans to hire more ships in the future based on the requirement and will continue expanding its network to help transform India into a gas-based economy. Today, GAIL has the 7th largest LNG portfolio in the world and is supplying natural gas across the world through time and destination swap mechanism. In fact, GAIL is the first company in the world to start time and destination swap.

Employees across GAIL centres enthusiastically participated in "Spandan - The Monthly Wellness Hour initiative" to focus on physical, mental, and emotional well-being of GAIL employees. Shri Ayush Gupta, Director (HR) motivated the employees & actively participated in the various activities conducted for showing gratitude during the hour.
The Spandan initiative aims to prioritize self-care, recharge, and nurture a positive and healthy work environment.
The focus this time was to show positive gratitude for all that has made a difference in our lives.

Aligned with the vision of the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, GAIL's biofuel initiative focuses on empowering entrepreneurs. #GAIL (India) Limited has issued a 358 Letter of Intent (LOI) for Compressed Biogas Plants (CBG). With this initiative, GAIL, through its LOI holders, has successfully commissioned 10 CBG plants in India, and five more are under construction. In addition to this, the CBG-CGD Synchronization Scheme led us to expand the horizons of clean energy with Biofuels.

In line with the vision of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, GAIL (India) Limited is taking continuous steps towards spreading awareness against corruption and creating a culture of transparency and vigilance.
As a part of the drive against corruption, GAIL spreads the message and encourages people to be conscious and contact the Central Vigilance Committee (CVC), an independent apex body, in case they face any form of corruption or undue demands from any of the Central Government offices or related organizations. Every government organization has a CVO who leads the internal vigilance team to ensure corrective measures and action against corruption.
Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta, CMD, GAIL (India) Limited, reiterates our commitment to the people of India as a responsible organization, promoting a corporate culture of ethics, transparency, fairness, probity, and innovation.
At GAIL, we encourage good management practices and have made use of technology to digitize processes like tender registrations, billing, etc, to ensure a transparent system for all internal and external stakeholders.
Shri Sandeep Sarkar, CVO, GAIL, highlights that Central Vigilance is not about punitive actions only preventive vigilance is also an important aspect which helps in identifying gaps in the system and ensuring effective implementation.
To create awareness and encourage more and more people to join the movement to remove corruption from the roots of our system, Vigilance Awareness Week is celebrated from 31st October to 6th November. Together we can progress as an ethical nation and make our country rise to the League of developed nations by 2047.
It is time for us to be conscious, vigilant and take individual as well as collective measures to uproot corruption from our country and positively head towards becoming a 5 trillion economy.
