An FIR has been registered at the Hazratganj police station in Lucknow against Praveen Kumar Gupta, the then secretary of the Uttar Pradesh State Power Employees Trust and the Provident Fund Trust of the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation, and Sudhanshu Dwivedi, the then director, finance, the official said.

The Reserve Bank of India on Wednesday superseded the board of debt-laden Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Limited (DHFL) as it intends to shortly initiate process of resolution of the company under the insolvency and bankruptcy rules. The central bank superseded the board “owing to governance concerns and defaults by DHFL in meeting various payment obligations,” it said in a release. R Subramaniakumar, ex-MD and CEO of Indian Overseas Bank has been appointed as the administrator.

लखनऊ,। उत्तर प्रदेश पावर कारपोरेशन लिमिटेड (यूपीपीसीएल) पीएफ घोटाले में निरुद्ध डीएचएफएल के प्रमोटर कपिल वधावन व अभियुक्त धीरज वधावन को सीबीआइ की विशेष अदालत ने सात दिन के लिए सीबीआइ की कस्टडी में सौंपने का आदेश दिया है। इनकी रिमांड अवधि 26 मई की दोपहर साढ़े तीन बजे से शुरू होकर दो जून की दोपहर साढ़े तीन बजे समाप्त होगी।
विशेष जज अजय विक्रम ङ्क्षसह ने यह आदेश इस मामले के विवेचक व सीबीआइ के पुलिस उपाधीक्षक संदीप कुमार पांडेय की अर्जी पर दिया है। इससे पहले इन दोनों अभियुक्तों को न्यायिक हिरासत में लिया गया। गुरुवार को इन्हें नवी मुंबई की तलोजा जेल से लाकर सीबीआइ की विशेष अदालत में पेश किया गया था।
11 मई को विशेष अदालत ने सीबीआइ की अर्जी पर इन दोनों अभियुक्तों को जरिये प्रोडक्शन वारंट तलब किया था। यह दोनों तलोजा जेल में अन्य मामलों में न्यायिक हिरासत में निरुद्ध थे। सीबीआइ का कहना था कि अभियुक्तों से यह जानकारी हासिल करनी है कि यूपीपीसीएल द्वारा डीएचएफएल में चार हजार 122 करोड़ 70 लाख का निवेश किसके माध्यम से कराया गया?
डीएचएफएल द्वारा इस राशि का निवेश किस मद में किया गया? यूपीपीसीएल के किन अधिकारियों को लाभ पहुंचाया गया? इस बड़ी साजिश में और कौन लोग शामिल हैं? इनके परिवारीजन व डीएचएफएल से संबंधित कंपनियों का बैंक अकाउंट भी खंगालना है। लिहाजा, विस्तृत पूछताछ व अन्य साक्ष्यों की बरामदगी के लिए अभियुक्तों का 15 दिन की कस्टडी रिमांड मंजूर की जाए।
दो नवंबर, 2019 को इस मामले की एफआइआर वर्तमान सचिव ट्रस्ट आइएम कौशल ने हजरतगंज कोतवाली में दर्ज कराई थी, जिसकी विवेचना ईओडब्ल्यू कर रही थी। उसने इस मामले में यूपीपीसीएल के तत्कालीन आला अफसरों समेत 17 अभियुक्तों को गिरफ्तार किया था। अभियुक्तों पर एक साजिश के तहत केंद्र सरकार की गाइड लाइन का उल्लघंन कर सीपीएफ व जीपीएफ की कई हजार करोड़ की रकम प्राइवेट फाइनेंस कंपनियों में गलत तरीके से निवेश करने का आरोप है। पांच मार्च, 2020 को इस मामले की विवेचना सीबीआइ को सौंप दी गई थी।
