Bhumi Pednekar recently appeared in the comedy Thank You For Coming and the film invited some extreme reactions from the viewers. While some praised the film for its bold concept, some shamed it for that. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar, Bhumi spoke about the latter group of people and slammed them for the shaming. She expressed her disappointment towards people who didn’t criticise the film but its intent. The actress discussed the prevalent gender bias and how people never took offence when she was a part of such stories told from a male perspective. She pointed out how Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 was supported by the same people who shamed her film, when somewhere they dealt with the same subject. Bhumi revealed if not getting any support from women within the industry disappointed her. She highlighted the hypocrisy of the situation that people accept objectification of women but have a problem with them talking about their sexuality. You can watch the entire conversation here.

Indian national hockey team goalkeeper, P.R. Sreejesh is the last line of defence and a stalwart for the Men In Blue since making his debut for the senior team in 2006.
Sreejesh shares the story where his coach told him to buy a kit worth Rs. 3500 which was too expensive for him at that time and how his father helped Sreejesh to buy his first kit. He then describes his journey from featuring in the junior team where he was second choice goalkeeper, to playing for the senior team.
Sreejesh was a standby goalkeeper in the senior team for around two years. He learnt a lot about goalkeeping form the likes of Bharat Chhetri, Adrian D’Souza and Baljit Singh. He emphasizes on the focus and communication required for a goalkeeper while playing at the highest level, the importance of organizing the defence.
Sreejesh feels that whenever the team concedes, the country is accountable for it and not the goalkeeper. He talks about his responsibility while playing in goal for India and the recognition he received when his performances for India were top notch.

टोक्यो को 2020 ओलम्पिक की मेजबानी दी गई है और उसने अपने प्रधानमंत्री शिंजो एबे के नेतृत्व में 32वें ओलम्पिक खेलों की तैयारियों की अपनी झलक पेश की। बाक ने इस दौरान रियो के मेयर एडवडरे पेस से ओलम्पिक झंडा लेकर टोक्यो की मेयर (गवर्नर) यूरीकी कोइके को सौंपा। ब्राजील ने समापन समारोह में 60 हजार दर्शकों की मौजूदगी में अपनी रंगारंग सांस्कृति विविधता का परिचय दिया। इसी दौरान टोक्यो ने भी पूरी दुनिया को टोक्यो-2020 ओलम्पिक के लिए आमंत्रित किया। रियो में बीते 16 दिनों में दुनिया भर के 206 देशों और क्षेत्रों से आए 10 हजार से अधिक एथलीटों ने शानदार ओलम्पिक भावना के साथ अपने फन और हुनर का प्रदर्शन किया। अमेरिका ने एक बार फिर ओलम्पिक खेलों में अपनी श्रेष्ठता साबित करते हुए सबसे अधिक 46 स्वर्ण जीते। वह एकमात्र देश रहा, जिसके पदकों की संख्या 100 के पार गई। अमेरिका ने कुल 121 पदक जीते। ब्रिटेन ने 27 स्वर्ण के साथ दूसरा और चीन ने 26 स्वर्ण के साथ तीसरा स्थान हासिल किया। इस साल का खास आकर्षण शरणार्थी टीम रही, जिसने आईओसी के झंडे तले ओलम्पिक में हिस्सा लिया। पूरी दुनिया ने इस टीम को प्यार दिया और इसी प्यार और सम्मान की बदौलल इस टीम ने एक स्वर्ण और एक कांस्य हासिल किया तथा पदक तालिका में भारत जैसे कई देशों से ऊपर रही। रियो में कुल 78 देशो ने पदक जीते हैं।

'इनडिक्लाइन' संगठन ने इस बारे में बयान जारी कर कहा है, ' ये स्टैच्यू कुछ पुराने बुरे ख्वाबों को दिखाता है। राष्ट्रपति बनने के लिए डॉनल्ड ट्रंप ने खूब भ्रम फैलाने की कोशिशें कीं। इन कोशिशों को हम पीछे मुड़कर देखना और उन पर हंसना चाहते थे। इसलिए हमने इन स्टैच्यूज़ को लगवाया..आपको बता दें कि ये स्टेच्यू न्यूयॉर्क, सैन फ्रांसिस्को, लॉस एंजिलिस और क्लीवलैंड में लगाए गए थे... हालांकि स्थानीय प्रशासन ने यह कहते हुए इन स्टैच्यू को हटवा दिया है कि इन्हें लगाने से पहले अनुमति नहीं ली गई...

दिल्ली महिला आयोग के दफ्तर पर आज बड़ी कार्रवाई देखने को मिली। छापा भर्ती में एक शिकायत के आधार पर एसीबी ने आयोग के दफ्तर पर छापा मारा है। दिल्ली महिला आयोग की पूर्व अध्यक्ष बरखा शुक्ला सिंह ने दिल्ली महिला आयोग की अध्य़क्ष स्वाति मालीवाल पर भर्तियों में भाई-भतीजा वाद का आरोप लगाया है। दिल्ली महिला आयोग की चेयरमैन स्वाति मालीवाल के खिलाफ दो शिकायतें करीब 15 दिन पहले एंटी करप्शन ब्रांच को मिली थीं, जिसके आधार पर एसीबी की एक टीम ने गुरुवार सुबह 10.30 बजे दिल्ली महिला आयोग के दफ्तर छापा मारा। एसीबी की टीम ने दिल्ली महिला आयोग के मेंबर सक्रेटरी पीपी ढल से करीब 4 घंटे तक पूछताछ की और साथ में कई फाइलों को खंगाला. बरखा सिंह ने डीसीडब्यू में लगी नौकरी में फेवरिज्म करने की शिकायत की थी. बरखा ने स्वाति मालीवाल पर गंभीर आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि 85 लोगों की नियुक्ति की गई, जिसमें एक आम आदमी पार्टी से जुड़े सुप्रीम कोर्ट के वकील की बेटी को भी नौकरी दी गई. 85 लोगों को दी जाने वाली नौकरी में 10 हजार से लेकर 1 लाख रुपये तक की तनख्वाह दी गई. योग्यता का कोई पैमाना नहीं रखा गया...
