जालंधर में रविवार को रैनक बाजार में लगती संडे मार्किट को पुलिस की तरफ से पूरी प्रोटेक्शन मिलने का दावा किया जाता रहा है | बीते दिन ही पुलिस ने कमांडोज़ के साथ मिल कर संडे बाजार से पहले ही बाज़ारो में सुरक्षा के मादेनज़र फ्लैग मार्च निकाला था और सभी को आगाह किया था की किसी भी शरारती अंसार को देख पुलिस को सूचित किया जाए | यही नहीं बाजार के बाहर ज्योति चौंक पर पुलिस का मुख्य तौर पर संडे को पहरा रहता है और पुलिस मुलाज़िम ट्रैफिक को भी सुचारू करते नज़र आते है |
आपको बता दे की , जालंधर पुलिस कमीशनरेट ने खुद अपनी पीट थपथपाते हुए मीडिया में खबर दी थी की जो भी पहले लूट और स्नैचिंग की वारदाते जालंधर में बढ़ने लगी थी वो उनके आने के बाद उनके अफसरों द्वारा उसपर लगाम कसी गयी है , जिसके बाद उक्त वारदातों पर लगाम लग गयी है और पिछले 3 महीनो में इनमे काफी कमी आयी है और ना के बराबर वारदाते हुई है और जो हुई है वो भी ट्रेस कर ली गयी है | बात पब्लिक की समझ में आ गयी और वो बिना किसी डर के बाज़ारो में जाने लगे |
मगर पुलिस की इस कामयाबी से लूटेरो को कुछ लेना देना नहीं था और संडे बाजार के लगते ही लूटेरे सुपर एक्टिव हो गए | हैरान कर देने वाली बात है की आज संडे को भी कई जगह पुलिस के नाके लगे हुए थे और हर जगह पुलिस बाइक वालो को रोक कर पूछताछ कर रही थी और ऑन द स्पॉट भी 300 रुपए के चालान भी काटे जा रहे थे | मगर अचानक ही शाम को रैनक बाजार में हड़कंप मच गया | बाजार में अपने रिश्तेदारों के साथ शॉपिंग करने आई NRI महिला और हिमाचल से आई महिला समेत कुल चार महिलाओं के बैग से उनके पर्स और नकदी के साथ मोबाइल चुरा लिया गया | जिसके बाद एक के बाद एक कुल 4 महिलाये थाना 4 में एक साथ कंप्लेंट देने पहुंची | हालांकि ज्योति चौंक में मौजूद पुलिस ने

A group of Indians on Friday gathered outside the Indian Embassy here to make people aware over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR) as protests over the provisions continue back in the country.The gathering, which took place in front of the statue of Justice Radha Binod Pal, Yasukuni Shrine near the premises of Indian Embassy in Tokyo, was "to clearly understand the objectives and due procedures" of the above provisions, said an official statement.
