Bhumi Pednekar recently appeared in the comedy Thank You For Coming and the film invited some extreme reactions from the viewers. While some praised the film for its bold concept, some shamed it for that. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar, Bhumi spoke about the latter group of people and slammed them for the shaming. She expressed her disappointment towards people who didn’t criticise the film but its intent. The actress discussed the prevalent gender bias and how people never took offence when she was a part of such stories told from a male perspective. She pointed out how Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 was supported by the same people who shamed her film, when somewhere they dealt with the same subject. Bhumi revealed if not getting any support from women within the industry disappointed her. She highlighted the hypocrisy of the situation that people accept objectification of women but have a problem with them talking about their sexuality. You can watch the entire conversation here.

Goa Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho on Wednesday warned of initiating stern action against traffic violators with punishment for offenses under the amended Motor Vehicle Act.
Speaking to media persons at presentation on new Traffic Rules organised by Directorate of Transport at Secretariat, Porvorim, near the city, he said the Act was amended several times but 2019 amendment had brought major changes due to technological upgradation emerging in the road transport, passenger, freight movement and vehicle management.
The Minister said though the new Act envisaged steep hike in imposing penalties it was intended to bring in much needed discipline amongst the road users. The exercise, he said, would also go a long way in reducing accidents and bring in discipline among the road users.
The Minister also highlighted the imperative need to create greater awareness amongst the road users and general public about the amendment of the Motor Vehicle Act. This, he said, would significantly help to save precious lives caused due to major road accidents.
Mr Godinho also urged the public to be more disciplined and follow traffic rules and regulations. ''People often do not follow them and then blame the RTO officials and the Government. We must change our mindset and look at the positive aspects of these rules and regulations. They are made for our betterment,'' he asserted.
The Transport Minister further informed that the purpose of implementing the Amended Motor Vehicle Act was not only to generate revenue but it was in accordance with the Central Motor Vehicle Act.
He said, infact the State of Goa delayed the implementation of the Act due to Covid-19 Pandemic crisis. ''Efforts will also be initiated to streamline Taxi business he said and added saying that digital meters will be installed in Taxi during next couple of weeks. New rates he said will be announced shortly,'' he said.

देश के ज़्यादातर हिस्सों में मोटर व्हीकल एक्ट-2019 लागु होने के लगभग तीन महीने के बाद पंजाब सरकार ने भी इस पर मुहर लगा दी है। गुरुवार को एक अधिसूचना जारी कर इसकी जानकारी दी गई। हालांकि यह पूरी तरह से केंद्र सरकार द्वारा लागु किया गया एक्ट नहीं है बल्कि पंजाब सरकार ने इस में कई तरह के संशोधन कर जुर्माने घटाए हैं। खास बात यह है कि पंजाब सरकार के ट्रांसपोर्ट विभाग द्वारा जारी अधिसूचना में ड्रंकन ड्राइव के मामले में दोषियों पर जुर्माना लगाने या जेल भेजने का प्रावधान शामिल नहीं ही किया गया है।
