ഹിമാചൽ പ്രദേശിലെ സ്പിതി താഴ്വരയിലാണ് കിബ്ബർ എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഗ്രാമം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. സമുദ്രനിരപ്പിൽ നിന്നും 4270 മീറ്റർ ഉയരത്തിലാണിത്. സവിശേഷതകൾ ഒരുപാടുള്ള ഈ ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ 2011 ലെ സെൻസസ് അനുസരിച്ചു 77 വീടുകൾ മാത്രമേയുള്ളു. ഈ 77 ഗൃഹങ്ങളിലായി ആകെയുള്ള ജനസംഖ്യ 366 ആണ്. അതിൽ 187 പുരുഷന്മാരും 179 സ്ത്രീകളുമുണ്ട്. ഏറെ വ്യത്യസ്തവും കാഴ്ചയ്ക്കു മനോഹരവുമാണ് ഇവിടുത്തെ വീടുകൾ. കല്ലുകൾ കൊണ്ടാണ് ഇവിടുത്തെ ഭവനനിർമ്മാണം.
ഇഷ്ടിക പോലുള്ള നിർമാണ സാമഗ്രികൾ ഒന്നുംതന്നെ ഉപയോഗിക്കാതെ, കല്ലുകൾ ഒരു പ്രത്യേക രീതിയിൽ അടുക്കി നിർമിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ഈ വീടുകൾ പ്രകൃതിയോടു ചേർന്നു നിൽക്കുന്നവയാണ്. ഗതാഗതം പോലും ദുർഘടമായ ഇവിടെ ലഭ്യമായ വസ്തുക്കൾ കൊണ്ട് നിർമാണം പൂർത്തിയാക്കേണ്ടതു കൊണ്ടും തണുപ്പിനെ പ്രതിരോധിക്കേണ്ടതു കൊണ്ടും പരിമിതമായ വസ്തുക്കൾ മാത്രമേ വീടുകൾ നിർമിക്കാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നുള്ളൂ. മിക്ക വീടുകൾക്കും ഒരേ രൂപമായതു കൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ആദ്യകാഴ്ച്ചയിൽ തന്നെ ആകർഷകമാണ്.
