The southwest monsoon has wreaked havoc as soon as it entered Himachal Pradesh. This time, compared to last year, the first rain of the monsoon has caused heavy damage in many places in Shimla. Heavy rains have brought a lot of debris on the road in Malyana, Chamiyana, Bhattakufar, Mini Kuftdhar and Shurala and other places in the city. Many vehicles parked on the roadside have been buried under the debris. Landslides have caused damage at many places. Vehicles have been damaged by the debris of the under-construction four-lane in Shurala.

NFTs are commonly recalled as the Non-fungible tokens that are regarded as modern-day collectibles. The digital assets space has expanded to a $2 trillion+ market with over 200 million users interacting with them today. They represent the potential to improve and expand multiple sectors and lead to the creation of new asset classes. In India too, NFTs have garnered attention with conversations around NFTs being on a steady rise and numerous NFT marketplaces being launched on Indian crypto exchanges. The NFT market today has already found its niche in finance, investing, gaming and entertainment industries at large and are steadily growing to penetrate and optimize more such traditional sectors. NFTs are available for purchase and sale online, with digital evidence of ownership of any items included. There are several use cases growing among both the industry and consumers in India and globally.
NFTs are digital assets that can be used to represent ownership of digital and physical items using blockchain platforms. There are startups that are creating marketplaces… of course, large exchanges like WazirX are doing it, and there are others who are creating a very intelligent layer on top to create mechanisms for NFTs to interact with things like games.
A lot of bigger companies and even organized media players are keenly looking at this space. Even large industrial houses and banks are interested in implementing NFTs. Up until last year, a small fraction of investors saw the actual potential in NFTs but 2021 led to a complete u-turn as the market opened up to massive NFT pitches with a record $2.5 billion sales globally. As per Google trends data, in August 2021, global interest for NFT rose by 426% with people showing a lot of interest in terms of buying NFTs. We feel that this new fad isn't going to end anytime soon, there are growing use cases of NFTs with Twitter recently announcing NFT profile

India - fastest growing economy
The International Monetary Fund has retained its projection for India’s economic growth in the current financial year at 9.5 per cent. The IMF has maintained India's gross domestic product estimates for next financial year at 8.5 per cent, unchanged from its July projections. Meanwhile, the IMF has cut its China GDP growth projections for 2021 and 2022 by 10 basis points each – to eight and 5.6 per cent, respectively. With this, India will again get the tag of the fastest-growing large economy in the world, both in FY22 and FY23. In 2020, China was the only major economy that had registered growth. While it had grown 2.3 per cent last year, India had contracted by 7.3 per cent. The Fund has also projected India’s consumer price index-based inflation rate to stand at 5.6 per cent during the current financial year from 6.2 per cent last year. For the next financial year, it has forecast a further decline to 4.9 per cent.
Earlier, two other bodies – the monetary policy committee (MPC) of the Reserve Bank of India and Standard and Poor's (S&P) – had retained India's growth projections for FY22 at 9.5 per cent. In its policy review last week, the MPC had also reduced its retail inflation projection for FY22 to 5.3 per cent from its earlier prediction of 5.7 per cent. Also last week, the World Bank (WB) had kept its projection for India’s economic growth in 2021-22 at 8.3 per cent. However, Fitch Ratings had lowered its projection to 8.7 per cent from its earlier forecast of 10 per cent in view of the impact of the second Covid-19 wave in the country. Outside of China and India, emerging and developing Asia has been downgraded slightly, as the pandemic has picked up, the IMF has said. The IMF has also said that the current account balance of India will slip into a deficit of one percent of GDP this financial year, as against a surplus of 0.9 per cent last
