जानकारी के मुताबिक वारिस शाह मंगलवार को मुंबई से इंदौर पहुंचे थे। यहां खजराना दरगाह पर चादर चढ़ाने पहुंचे। उनके साथ अन्य लोग भी थे। इसी बीच भीड़ में से किसी ने उनके चेहरे पर स्याही पोत दी और भाग गया। आसपास के लोग कुछ समझ पाते इतने में स्याही पोतने वाला रफूचक्कर हो गया। घटना से कुछ देर के लिए हड़कंप मच गया। वारिस पठान भी कुछ समझ नहीं सके और नीचे मुंह करके बैठे रहे। बाद में चेहरे से स्याही निकाली। वारिस पठान असदुद्दीन ओवैसी की पार्टी एआईएमएम के राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता हैं। सीएए के विरोध के दौरान उन्होंने भाषण में कहा था कि हम 15 करोड़ मुसलमान 100 करोड़ हिंदुओं पर भारी हैं। इस बयान के बाद उन पर एफआईआर भी हुई थी। ओवैसी की मौजूदगी में ही उन्होंने यह बयान दिया था।

लगातार अघोषित बिजली कटौती और बिजली बिल से परेशान लोग लगातार बिजली कंपनी के खिलाफ विरोध दर्ज करवा रहे हैं। मंगलवार को भी वाॅर्ड 51 के रहवासी विधायक के नेतृत्व में आजाद नगर जोन कार्यालय का घेराव करने पहुंचे। यहां सैकड़ों की संख्या में पहुंचे रहवासियों ने बिजली कंपनी का घेराव कर जमकर नारेबाजी की और इस प्रकार समस्या को जल्द दूर करने की चेतावनी दी।
