Three civilians killed by forces in Kulgam village, several injured
Three civilians including a lady were killed after government forces opened fire on protesters during clashes in Hawoora village of Redwani area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam District on Saturday.
Official sources said that government forces entered the village to lay cordon and search operation in the area.
However, youth in large number came out on the streets and hurled stones on the vehicles of the forces who retaliated with firing resulting in death of three civilians and several others sustained injuries.
Hospital sources confirmed the death of three civilians namely Shakir Ahmad 22, Irshad Majeed 20 and a girl Andleeb 16, all residents of Hawoora village of Redwani.

Two civilians injured in clash with security forces
JAMMU LINKS NEWS | Two civilians were injured in a clash with security forces during a cordon and search operation against militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district today, police said.
Security forces launched a operation at Tangwari Tukra village early this morning after receiving information about the presence of militants there, a police official said.
As they started the search operation, a large number of people assembled and started hurling stones at them, he said.
He said they used force to disperse the protestors during which two people - Fayaz Ahmad Padder and Jehangir Ahmad Bhat - were injured.
Padder was shifted to SKIMS hospital after he received injury in his chest, they said.

STORYLINE :
Thirteen civilians were wounded on Monday in a grenade attack by suspected Islamic rebels in the Indian-controlled portion of Kashmir, police said.
Militants lobbed a hand grenade toward a shopkeeper, Sidique Gojri, in the town of Pattan, 35 kilometres (20 miles) north of Srinagar, the summer capital of India's Jammu-Kashmir state, the local police chief said.
Seven of those injured were taken to a hospital in Srinagar in critical condition, the police chief added.
An army convoy had passed through the area earlier but the attack seemed to target the shop owner Sidique Gojri, police said.
Police said they were investigating why Gojri was targeted.
No militant group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Two people including a woman were killed on Friday and at least 11 others were wounded when Pakistani troops targeted Indian villages with artillery and mortar in an early-morning ceasefire violation along the border in Jammu and Samba districts, officials said.
The incident took place amid a flare-up along the highly militarised border between the two neighbours, who frequently accuse each other of violating a 2003 truce.
A senior BSF official said Pakistan Rangers — the neighbouring country’s border force — opened heavy fire and shot mortars on Indian villages and posts in RS Pura, Arnia and Ramgarh sub-sectors since 6.30 am on Friday.
