Teachers are role models, have key role in shaping students’ destiny: Mehbooba
Terming the teachers as role models for the society, Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti today said they (teachers) have a greater role to play, particularly in present times, in shaping the destiny of their students.
Addressing a well attended gathering of teachers after handing over regularisation orders among six hundred Rehbar e Taleem teachers here today, the Chief Minister said teaching profession has been held in high esteem by all religions and societies. Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) and Information Department Choudhary Zulfkar Ali today directed the concerned to hold three-day Aadhaar seeding camp from July 25 to accelerate the seeding of ration cards in the State.

SRINAGAR: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) and Information, Choudhary Zulfkar Ali today inaugurated Command Control Room and Tehsil Accounts Section here at FCS&CA Directorate.
The Minister was accompanied by Secretary FCS&CA Shafiq Raina, Director FCS&CA Nisar Ahmad Wani and other concerned officers of the Department.

Kathua received increased ration supply after NFSA implementation: Zulfkar
Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Information, Choudhary Zulfkar Ali today said the government is providing adequate ration to the people at their doorsteps and has covered more than 91,000 families in Kathua district after implementation of NFSA in the State.

JAMMU: Asserting that the Government is taking various measures to facilitate hassle-free discharge of professional duties by the journalists, Minister for Information, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali today said a State Media Advisory Committee (SMAC) will be constituted soon to hash-out the issues confronting the media in J&K.
The Minister said this during an interaction with the media fraternity, organized by the Press Club of Jammu here today. He reiterated that the State Government strongly believes in the freedom of expression guaranteed by the constitution. No shortage of essential commodities anywhere in J&K: Zulfkar
Minister for Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (FCA&PD), Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali said that there is no shortage of essential commodities as of now anywhere in the state.
While inspecting Government Food Store at Udhampur, the Minister said that there is an adequate stock of essential commodities available in all the areas of the state and is being disbursed among the people. He said that they have directed officers to ensure timely disbursal of food grains and to ensure proper monitoring so that there is no pilferage.

JAMMU LINKS NEWS | Fresh landslide in Udhampur district forced the closure of the Srinagar-Jammu highway on Monday.
A Traffic Department official said no traffic would be allowed on the highway following the landslides that occurred on Kheri road in Udhampur.

Terrorists abduct Pulwama man from his residence, cops find his bullet-riddled body in nearby fields
JAMMU LINKS NEWS | Terrorists on Monday barged into the house of a resident and abducted him in Jammu and Kashmir. The incident took place in Pulwama's Murran. This incident took place on Sunday night.
