Pacquiao vs. Mayweather: Finally, Tickets go on SALE
Mayweather vs Pacquiao: Referee confirmed, ticket deal made

Tickets will go on sale after an agreement on allocation was reached for the May 2 fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
In what Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum, dubbed the "fight of the century," disagreements have hampered the release of the tickets because of questions over how many tickets would be allocated to each fighter for the highly-anticipated Las Vegas event.
"There was a craze for tickets and under our agreement with Mayweather Promotions, we felt we were being deprived of our fair share of the tickets (from) the standpoint of number and location," Arum told CNN.
"It was very, very important to my fighter Manny Pacquiao, to the Philippines people... Manny has friends and family like you can't believe -- that will be in account for 800 or 900 tickets themselves."
The cheapest tickets for the bout are priced at $1,500 but demand for the fight is such that some seats could fetch as much as $11,000 on the secondary market.
    Veteran referee named to fight
Kenny Bayless has been named as the referee of next month's fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission said Bayless, who has officiated more than 100 title contests, would take charge of the most anticipated bout in recent boxing history at the MGM G

For the Mayweather Pacquiao Winner, a Bevy of Belts News Video

By now, even people who do not follow boxing know that two men named Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are due to fight an important match here on Saturday. But does anyone — boxing fans included — know what they are fighting for?
“Um, I saw the big belt, so I know it’s a championship fight,” said Mike Behner, a 66-year-old construction company owner, referring to the emerald-encrusted championship belt displayed here this week by the World Boxing Council. “But I don’t know if it’s the world championship or the U.S. championship, or even if there is such a thing. I just know that whoever wins gets the belt.”
As big as a Frisbee in a dollar store and a million times as expensive, the belt is a thing of gaudy wonder, even by boxing’s inflated standards. The World Boxing Council sounds pretty impressive, too, with its fancy, authoritative name.
But its authority is limited. The W.B.C. is just one in an overstuffed alphabet soup of several competing bodies in boxing that each does virtually the same thing. For a fee, they sanction, or give their imprimatur to, different sets of matches in dizzying arrays of weight classes — ones you have heard of (middleweight) and ones you probably haven’t (super featherweight).
Mayweather and Pacquiao’s fight is in the welterweight class. That means they must weigh more than 140 pounds but no more than 147 pounds. They were to publicly step on a scale Friday to prove their welterweight

Mayweather v Pacquiao 11,500 Fans watch Las Vegas weigh-in News Video

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao weighed in as 11,500 fans watched on ahead of the most lucrative fight in history in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Entry to the weigh-in at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Friday was $10 (£6.60), although tickets were changing hands on the resale market for $800 (£530).
The fight is set to generate an estimated $400m (£265m).
American Mayweather scaled 146lb - one pound under the welterweight limit - and Pacquiao of the Philippines 145lb.
The pair will fight for the WBC, WBA and WBO welterweight titles.
"I believe that with my skills, I'm going to be victorious," said the 38-year-old Mayweather, who is unbeaten in 47 professional fights.
"I don't take anything away from Manny Pacquiao, he's a solid fighter and it will be an intriguing match-up.
"But after Saturday, I'll still be 'TBE' [The Best Ever]."
Pacquiao, who has 57 wins and five defeats from 64 pro fights, said: "It's a great responsibility for me to give enjoyment to the fans. The fans deserve to have a good fight, whether they are a fan of Mayweather or Pacquiao.
"The Lord will always be with me and strengthen me and deliver him into my hands."

Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Manny Pacquiao on Saturday night in Las Vegas, stretching his record to 48-0, in what was considered the highest-grossing bout in history.
Floyd Mayweather Jr., the 38-year-old with the baby face and the unblemished professional boxing record, beat Manny Pacquiao on Saturday night with a unanimous decision in what was considered the highest-grossing bout in history.
In a long-anticipated fight between the two dominant welterweights of the past decade, Mayweather stretched his record to 48-0 while quieting critics who thought he had spent years avoiding a showdown with Pacquiao, a 36-year-old fighter from the Philippines.
All three judges scored the fight in favor of Mayweather. One had the score at 118-110, and the other two had it at 116-112.
The purse, a majority of it from pay-per-view revenue from several million American households paying about $90 each to watch, was estimated to be roughly $300 million. The contract called for Mayweather to receive 60 percent, win or lose.
Inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Hollywood celebrities and famous athletes from scattered parts of the sports world sprinkled the crowd. The few tickets made available to the public were priced from $1,500 for seats in the top rows to $7,500 for a seat on the floor. Tickets were sold on the secondary market for $40,000 or more.

Manny Pacquiao says his hunger to win has returned for Saturday's super-fight with Floyd Mayweather.
The pair meet in boxing's richest ever bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
"I'm so happy because the feeling of the killer instinct and the focus that I had years ago is back," said Pacquiao, a six-weight world champion.
"I haven't felt like this in my recent few fights, but now I feel different. I'm eager to show something, especially because I'm the underdog."
Mayweather's father and trainer, Mayweather Sr, had suggested Pacquaio had never recovered from his surprise knock-out loss to Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012.
That was Pacquiao's fifth professional defeat from 64 fights, and had come after a split decision loss to Timothy Bradley Jr earlier in the same year.
The Filipino WBO welterweight champion is considered to have peaked throughout 2008 and 2009, when he recorded notable wins over Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto.
"Every time I've been the underdog, like against Oscar De La Hoya, it's a different feeling and I'm so glad that it's back," said the 36-year-old.
"This is one of the most important fights for my boxing legacy. I want to make this fight for my boxing legacy. I want to win, that's my goal."
