रावसाहेब पटवर्धन तथा प्रवरा संस्थेत तब्बल 228 ठेवीदारांचे एकूण सात कोटी दोन लाख 12 हजार 963 रुपयांच्या ठेवी अडकल्याने आणि वारंवार पाठपुरावा करून देखील पैसे मिळत नसल्यामुळे संतप्त झालेल्या ठेवीदारांनी आज अहमदनगर पोलीस अधीक्षक कार्यालयासमोर अर्धनग्न होत उपोषण केले. यावेळी रावसाहेब पटवर्धन तथा प्रवरा संस्थेचे एकूण सर्व 30 आरोपींना अटक करा , सदर पतसंस्थेचे संचालकांच्या चल आणि अचल मिळकत जप्त कराव्यात आणि त्यातुन ठेवीदारांची रक्कम परत करावी अशी मागणी आंदोलकांनी केली. या उपोषणास पारनेर विधानसभा मतदारसंघाचे आमदार निलेश लंके यांनी पाठिंबा देत उपोषणकर्त्यांची उपोषणस्थळी जाऊन भेट घेतली. दरम्यान आज सकाळपासून हे उपोषणकर्ते पोलिस अधीक्षक कार्यालयासमोर उपोषण करत असताना पोलीस अधीक्षक कार्यालयातील एकही प्रतिनिधी उपोषणस्थळी फिरकला देखील नसल्याने आमदार लंके संतप्त झाले, गोरगरीब जनतेसाठी पोलिस यंत्रणा असते. मात्र, त्यांच्याकडे लक्ष देण्यासाठी दिवसभरात कोणीही आले नसल्याचे म्हणत त्यांनी संताप व्यक्त केला. दरम्यान आमदार निलेश लंके यांनी 'मी तुमच्या मुलाप्रमाणे आहे, तुमच्या ठेवी तुम्हाला परत मिळत नाहीत तोपर्यंत मी तुमच्यासोबत राहील' असे आश्वासन उपोषणकर्त्यांना दिले त्याचबरोबर त्यांनी थेट उपोषणस्थळावरून पोलीस अधीक्षक मनोज पाटील यांना दूरध्वनीवरून संपर्क साधला, यावेळी पोलीस अधीक्षक पाटील यांनी दहा दिवसात या प्रकरणासंदर्भात चौकशी करून पुढील कारवाई करू असे आश्वासन दिल्याचे आमदार लंके यांनी बोलताना सांगितले. यावेळी अनेक ठेवीदारांना अश्रू अनावर झाले, दरम्यान पोलिस अधीक्षकांनी सांगितल्याप्रमाणे कारवाई न झाल्यास मी स्वतः तुमच्या सोबत पोलीस अधीक्षकांची भेट घेईल असे आश्वासन आमदार लंके यांनी दिल्यानंतर उपोषण मागे घेण्यात आले.
