Former Minister, Senior BJD Leader Damodar Rout Expelled From Party
Just days after alleging multiple instances of corruption in various departments of the State government, former minister & senior leader Damodar Rout was dismissed from the BJD today.
In pursuance to orders from party president Naveen Patnaik, Damodar Rout has been expelled from the BJD, informed party’s state secretary, Bijay Kumar Nayak through a press release.
Rout had recently created ripples in the political circle by alleging irregularities and scams in disbursal of Cooperative bank loans, Omfed, distribution of saplings & in the Health department.
Earlier today, Rout had praised Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik by calling him a good human being, a writer and an artist with a clean image and has greater exposure as compared to his counterparts in the country.

ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଶ୍ରୀ କର ପଡୋଶୀ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଛତିଶଗଡ଼ ର ରାୟପୁର ରୁ ପନି, ପରିବା ଆଣି ଟିଟିଲାଗଡ ରେ ବିକ୍ରି କରି ନିଜ ଗୁଜୁରାଣ ମେଣ୍ଟାଉ ଥିଲେ । ଗତ ଦୁଇ ବର୍ଷ ରୁ ଅଧିକ ସେ ଏହି ମାନସିକ ରୋଗ ରେ ଆକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହୋଇ ଯିବାରୁ ଆଉ ରୋଜଗାର କରି ନ ପାରି ଶଯ୍ୟାଶାୟୀ ଭାବେ ପଡିରହିଛନ୍ତି । ଏକ ମାତ୍ର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଧାର, କରଜ କରି ଘର ସବୁ ଜିନିଷ ପତ୍ର ବିକ୍ରି କରି ଦୂରଦୂରାନ୍ତ କୁ ନେଇ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କରିଥିଲେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା କିଛି ସୁଫଳ ପାଇପାରି ନାହାନ୍ତି । ଏପରି କି ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ତାଙ୍କ ଶରୀର ଅବସ୍ଥା ଯାହା ତାକୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ ରଖି ତୁରନ୍ତ ଇ,ଟି,ସି(ଇଲେକ୍ଟ୍ରିକ ଟ୍ରିଟମେଂଟ ସିଷ୍ଟମ) ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ରେ ତୁରନ୍ତ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ । ବଲାଙ୍ଗୀର ଜିଲ୍ଲା ମାନସିକ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ବିଭାଗ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅଧିକାରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ଶତପଥୀ ଏହି ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ସରକାରୀ ଭାବେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର କୌଣସି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଉପଲବ୍ଧ ନ ଥିବା ଯୋଗୁଁ ତାଙ୍କୁ କୌଣସି ଏକ ଘରୋଇ ଡାକ୍ତରଖାନାରେ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କରିବା ପରାମର୍ଶ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି । ହେଲେ ଉକ୍ତ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚ ପାଇଁ ଶ୍ରୀ କର ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ବଲାଙ୍ଗୀର ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ ଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଗୁହାରି କରିଥିଲେ । ଆବେଦନ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ସରକାରୀ ରେଡ଼କ୍ରସ ପାଣ୍ଠି ଅବା ଅନ୍ୟ କେଉଁ ସୂତ୍ରରୁ ଆବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଅର୍ଥ ଯୋଗାଇ ଦେବା ବଦଳରେ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ହୋଇ ପାରେ ଉକ୍ତ ବିଲ ଓ କାଗଜପତ୍ର ଦାଖଲ କଲେ ସେ ଟଙ୍କା ଦେବେ କହି ଫେରାଇ ଦେଇଥିବା ଅଭିଯୋଗ ହୋଇଛି । ଏବେ ଟଙ୍କା ଅଭାବରୁ ସେମାନେ ଅକଥନୀୟ ଦୁର୍ଦ୍ଦଶା ରେ କାଳ କାଟୁଥିବା ବେଳେ ଏ ନେଇ ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ପ୍ରଶାସନ ତରଫରୁ ତୁରନ୍ତ ଆବଶ୍ୟକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ଶ୍ରୀ କର ଙ୍କୁ ସହାୟତା ଯୋଗାଇଦେବାକୁ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ତରଫରୁ ଦାବି ହେଉଛି।
