Rajini fan saves woman from being gangraped

In a rare and really heroic act, a Chennai based man saved a woman from an attempt of gang rape. Vasanth Paul, who claims to be a diehard Rajinikanth fan was returning from ‘Kabali’ screening when he heard cries of a woman from an isolated spot near Alandur and rushed to her rescue.
Paul told a leading media that the incident took place when he was returning home after watching Kabali and took a isolated turn to dodge traffic jam on airport road. Paul saw three men attempting to rape a woman. When he intervened, the three men attacked him. While one of them punched him, another tried to strangle him with a jute rope. Paul said that a rickshaw driver saw him being attacked and intervened. The rickshaw driver roughed up the three men who later fled from the spot. He said that the commotion helped the woman in fleeing from the spot.
