सत्ताईस जून को हुई उत्तरी दिल्ली नगर निगम के स्थाई समिती की बैठक में हंगामा भी हुआ और मुद्दे भी उठे। लेकिन इन सब के बीच कुछ दिलचस्प आँकड़े भी निकल कर सामने आये जो आपको हैरान कर देंगे।
ये मुद्दा है उत्तरी दिल्ली नगर निगम के द्वारा आवारा पशुओं को पकड़ने पर खर्च किये जाने वाली राशी का।
सड़कों पर चलते हुए या गलियों पार्कों में टहलते हुए आपको आवारा पशुओं का दीदार जरूर हो जाता होगा लेकिन निगम के मुताबिक साल 2017 -2018 में आवारा मवेशियों और बंदरों को पकड़े जाने की संख्या कम हुई है।
जबकि आवारा कुत्तों को पकडे जाने की संख्या में पिछले साल के मुकाबले ढ़ाई गुणा बढ़ोतरी हुई है। उत्तरी निगम ने साल 2014 से लेकर साल 2018 के अप्रैल तक के उपलब्ध आंकड़े पेश किये जिससे ये पता चलता है की मवेशियों और बंदरों की संख्या में बेहद कमी आई है जबकि कुत्तों की संख्या में बढ़ोतरी हुई। साल 2017 -18 के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक़ तो नॉर्थ एमसीडी में अब तक 21035 आवारा कुत्ते पकड़े जा चुके हैं।
लेकिन इन सब के बीच जो अहम् सवाल है वो है इस प्रक्रिया में होने वाले खर्चे का जो की साल 2015 -16 के मुताबिक 2017 -18 में छः गुणा तक बढ़ गया।
तो क्या उत्तरी दिल्ली नगर निगम में आवारा कुत्तों के नाम पर बंदरबाँट का खेल चल रहा है ??
