At a time when the Education Department of Assam aims to evaluate schools and students of schools in order to assess their performance and design strategies to bring about quality improvement in levels of learning as well as in the school environment through Gunotsav, however, due to a section of teachers, there has been a widespread decrease in the students ratio from the Government Schools, here’s a story of a teacher at Latumari area under Kathiatoli Education Block in Nagaon District who has been sitting idle in his residence for the past one and half years and has been allegedly drawing Government salary without paying any visit in the school.
