अरुण जेटली ने कहा है कि सरकार फ्रीडम ऑफ स्पीच के सपोर्ट में है लेकिन नेशनलिज्म से कोई समझौता नहीं हो सकता। जेटली बीजेपी की नेशनल एग्जीक्यूटिव काउंसिल के दूसरे दिन प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेस में बोल रहे थे। उन्होंने काउंसिल में पास किए गए दो प्रपोजल्स की जानकारी दी। इसमें कहा गया कि नेशनलिज्म की आइडियोलॉजी ही बीजेपी की दिशा तय करती है। जेटली ने रविवार को कहा कि फ्रीडम ऑफ स्पीच और नेशनलिज्म की आइडियोलॉजी, दोनों एक साथ रह सकती हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि कॉन्स्टीट्यूशन हमें असहमति जताने का अधिकार तो देता है लेकिन देश के विरोध की आजादी नहीं देता।
