कोरेगाव भीमा इथे विजयोत्सवाला मंत्रीगण उपस्थित, महार सेनेचा विजयोत्सव
भीमा कोरेगावच्या ऐतिहासिक लढाईच्या द्विशताब्दीनिमित्त तेथील विजयस्तंभास राज्य सरकारच्या वतीनेही मानवंदना देण्यात आली . १ जानेवारी २०१८ रोजी होणाऱ्या या कार्यक्रमाला शासनाच्या वतीने राज्याचे सामाजिक न्यायमंत्री राजकुमार बडोले केंद्रीय समाज कल्याण राज्यमंत्री रामदास आठवले , पुण्याचे पालक मंत्री गिरीशी बापट समाज कल्याण राज्य मंत्री दिलीप कांबळे यावेळी उपस्थित होते .
पुणे जिल्ह्य़ातील हवेली तालुक्यातील भीमा कोरेगाव येथे पेशव्यांच सैन्य आणि इंग्रज यांच्यात १ जानेवारी १८१८ रोजी घनघोर लढाई झाली होती . त्यात इंग्रजांच्या बाजूने लढलेल्या ५०० महार सैनिकांच्या अतुलनीय शौर्यामुळे २८ हजार सैन्यांची फौज असलेल्या पेशव्यांचा पराभव झाला, अशी इतिहासात नोंद आहे. पेशवाईच्या काळात अस्पृश्यतेसारख्या अमानुष प्रथेने कळस गाठला होता. त्याचा प्रतिकार म्हणून महार सैनिक इंग्रजांच्या बॉम्बे नेटिव्ह इन्फ्रंट्रीच्या फौजेतून पेशव्यांच्या सैनिकांविरुद्ध लढले. त्यात पेशव्यांच्या सैनिकांचा पराभव झाला. महार सैनिकांच्या शौर्यामुळे विजय मिळाला म्हणून, त्या लढाईत मरण पावलेल्या सैनिकांच्या स्मरणार्थ इंग्रजांनी भीमा कोरेगावच्या युद्धभूमीवर विजयस्तंभ उभारला. डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांनी पहिल्यांदा १ जानेवारी १९२७ रोजी भीमा कोरेगावला भेट देऊन विजयस्तंभाला मानवंदना दिली. त्यानंतर दर वर्षी १ जानेवारीला हजारोंच्या संख्येने आंबेडकरी अनुयायी भीमा कोरेगावला जाऊन विजयस्तंभाला मानवंदना देतात. यावेळी इथे जाहीर सभा देखील झाली.ଏହି ଭାବରେ Metro News| 182 ଦୃଶ୍ୟସଂଖ୍ୟା
