“As you all know we have no control on the international prices of oil which have gone up from 40 dollars per barrels 10 years ago, to 140 dollars per barrel today. You know that we import 80% of crude oil from which we make petrol, diesel, kerosene and cooking gas. We continue to subsidise kerosene which must be done. But we have been compelled and we have no option but to increase the prices of diesel and the cooking gas. In spite of these, UPA government is doing its best not to burden the people with more hardships. As we hold the responsibility as a Government at the Centre, the state government also has some responsibility. I want to ask the BJP government here why have not the government increase the limit of LPG cylinders to a family from 6 to 9. This is what our Congress government has done in the states ruled by us. Why has the Karnataka Government not reduced the VAT on diesel, just like our Congress led governments have done? So it is very easy to criticize others but what about you (the state government), what are you doing to reduce the hardships of your people? It is your (state government’s) responsibility as much as ours†said Sonia Gandhi.

Jalandhar, April 21-
Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that safety protocols are like a helmet, which ensured safety of the wearers from the fatal mishaps. Similarly, these safety precautions are for larger public interest and not for any individual gain; aimed at saving precious lives of people from Corona Virus, he said. The CP was on a city round, where he took stock of police preparedness to effectively enforce the fresh Covid-19 curbs announced by the state government.
While going for a Facebook live at Model Town Market, the Commissioner of Police urged all citizens to strictly adhere to Covid appropriate behavior to ensure their safety from the ill-effects of virus. Mr. Bhullar said that curbs were announced for people’s safety and hence should be treated as an essential part of our lives. He said no one is allowed to take law and order in their hands as playing on these norms could take a heavy toll on all of us.
The CP further directed police officials deployed at various Nakas to ensure strict action against those flouting these safety precautions adding that special focus to be laid on those not wearing masks. He said the mask is the only way to prevent virus contraction amid spike in fresh Covid-19 cases. He also asked officials to ensure enforcement of latest curbs including extension of night curfew timings by one hour (8pm to 5am), closure of all bars, cinema halls, gyms, spas, coaching centers, sports complexes, with restaurants and hotels to be opened only for takeaway and home delivery from Monday to Saturday besides banning the gatherings of more than 20 persons including for weddings/By One News| 157 views

दक्षिण कोरिया ने शुक्रवार को कहा कि उत्तर कोरिया ने अपने पूर्वी जल क्षेत्र की ओर एक बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल दागी है. दक्षिण कोरिया के ‘ज्वाइंट चीफ्स ऑफ स्टाफ’ ने एक बयान में कहा कि मिसाइल ने उत्तर कोरिया के पूर्वी जलक्षेत्र की ओर उड़ान भरी, लेकिन उन्होंने इस बारे में और कोई जानकारी नहीं दी कि मिसाइल कितनी दूर तक गई.उत्तर कोरिया ने हाल के हफ्तों में कई मिसाइलों और हथियारों का परीक्षण किया है. ताजा परीक्षण दक्षिण कोरिया के 12 दिवसीय वार्षिक सैन्य अभ्यास “होगुक” के अंतिम दिन किया गया है. इस साल इस अभ्यास में अमेरिकी सैनिकों ने भी हिस्सा लिया है, जिनकी संख्या के बारे में कोई जानकारी नहीं दी गई है.दक्षिण कोरिया और अमेरिका की वायु सेनाओं ने अगले सप्ताह व्यापक प्रशिक्षण आयोजित करने की योजना बनाई है. उत्तर कोरिया दक्षिण कोरिया और अमेरिका के इस तरह के नियमित सैन्य अभ्यासों को अपने ऊपर हमले की तैयारियों के तौर पर देखता है. हालांकि, दक्षिण कोरिया और अमेरिका का कहना है कि वे रक्षा के लिए ये अभ्यास करते हैं. सोर्स-भाषा
