Ukraine crisis Yanukovych announces 'peace deal' News Video
Ukraine Arrest warrant issued for Viktor Yanukovych over killings of civilians News Video
The turmoil in Ukraine has swept aside its president, brought about the release a prominent opposition leader and raised fears the country could break apart.
After the bloodshed in the streets of Kiev last week -- the deadliest violence Ukraine has suffered since its independence 22 years ago -- the political twists and turns came thick and fast over the weekend.
As a new week begins, uncertainty has taken a hold in the divided nation as Ukraine tries to reshape its political landscape.
An arrest warrant has been issued for ousted President Viktor Yanukovych over the killings of civilians, a government official said Monday. But officials don't know where he is.
Here's what you need to know to get caught up:
Who's in charge?
It depends whom you ask.
The Parliament voted to oust Yanukovych, a key demand of protesters. It appointed seasoned lawmaker Oleksandr Turchinov as a new speaker who will take on Yanukovych's duties until new elections in May.
Turchinov, a longtime ally of opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko, has promised a new interim government by Tuesday.

Ukraine crisis- Police storm main Kiev 'Maidan' protest camp | 21 die in Ukraine violence News Video
Police are storming the main protest camp in Ukraine's capital, Kiev, which has been occupied since November.
Explosions are taking place, fireworks are being thrown and large fires have broken out in Independence Square, known locally as the Maidan.
On Tuesday at least 18 people were killed, including seven policemen, in the worst violence seen in weeks.
Opposition leaders later met President Viktor Yanukovych but failed to find a solution to the crisis.
Vitaly Klitschko, leader of the opposition Udar (Punch) party, told Ukraine's Hromadske TV that the president had given the protesters only one option, leave the Maidan and go home.
Meanwhile, Mr Yanukovych's aide said the president was preparing to address the nation, without providing further details.
'Island of freedom'
Security forces had given protesters a deadline of 18:00 local time (16:00 GMT) to leave Independence Square, the scene of a mostly peaceful protest camp since November.
The city's metro service was completely shut down, and there were reports that cars were being prevented from coming in to the capital.
Then shortly before 18:00 GMT, police announced over loudspeakers that they were about to begin "an anti-terror operation".
They advanced with an armoured vehicle, dismantling barricades and firing stun grenades and water cannon.

Ukraine PM Crimea 'was, is and will be an integral part of Ukraine' News Video
We're leaving. No, you're not.
That's where the crisis in Ukraine stood Thursday after lawmakers in Crimea voted in favor of leaving the country for Russia and putting it to a regional vote in 10 days.
This act drew widespread condemnation, with Ukrainian interim Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk calling such a referendum "an illegitimate decision."
"Crimea was, is and will be an integral part of Ukraine," he said.
It was a sentiment echoed by several world leaders, who called the scheduled vote and possible pullout violations of Ukrainian and international law.
"Any discussion about the future of Ukraine must include the legitimate government of Ukraine," said U.S. President Barack Obama. "In 2014, we are well beyond the days when borders can be redrawn over the heads of democratic leaders."
It's not clear how easily the region could split off from Ukraine even if the referendum endorses the move.
The developments came at a dizzying pace Thursday as Yatsenyuk joined emergency talks in Brussels, Belgium, called by leaders of the European Union who support the Kiev government and want to de-escalate the crisis.
The EU and the United States announced plans to freeze the assets of Viktor Yanukovych, who was ousted as Ukraine's president after he turned his back on a trade deal with the EU in favor of one with Russia.

Ukraine crisis President blames opposition for deadly clashes News Video
Ukraine's President Viktor Yanukovych has blamed opposition leaders for the latest upsurge of violence in Kiev, which has left at least 18 people dead.
After failed overnight talks with the opposition, Mr Yanukovych urged its leaders to "distance themselves from radical forces", saying it was "not too late to stop the conflict".
Riot police are continuing to storm the main anti-government protest camp.
Activists blamed the authorities for the worst violence in months of unrest.
Explosions are taking place, fireworks are being thrown and large fires can been seen on Independence Square - known as the Maidan.
The latest assault began shortly after 04:00 local time, when the police tried to move on the protesters' tents. Several were set ablaze.
'Island of freedom'
Security forces had given protesters a deadline of 18:00 local time on Tuesday (16:00 GMT) to leave the square, the scene of a mostly peaceful protest camp since November.
When the deadline expired, riot police advanced with an armoured vehicle, dismantling barricades and firing stun grenades and water cannon.
Protesters have been resisting, throwing missiles from behind huge piles of burning tyres.
In speeches from the main stage through the night, protest leaders urged people already on the Maidan to stand firm, and called on Ukrainians elsewhere to come to the square.

Ukraine crisis G7 condemns Russia military build up! News Video
Russia's G8 partners have condemned Moscow's military build-up in Ukraine amid fresh diplomatic efforts to avert a dangerous escalation of the crisis.
The world's seven major industrialised powers also suspended preparations for the G8 summit in Sochi in June.
Meanwhile, European Union foreign ministers are due to meet in emergency session in Brussels.
The moves come as Russian military forces continue to strengthen their grip on the Crimean peninsula.
Ukraine's interim government has accused Russia of having declared war, and has ordered the mobilisation of its armed forces.
But Russian President Vladimir Putin has so far defied calls from the West to pull back his troops.
He insists Russia has a right to protect its interests and those of Russian-speakers in Crimea and elsewhere in Ukraine.
The UN said on Sunday that Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson was travelling to Ukraine to be "personally apprised of the facts on the ground".
A statement said he would brief UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon "on the next steps the United Nations could take to support the de-escalation of the situation".

The G7 urged Russia to hold talks with Ukraine to address any human rights or security concerns it has.

Ukraine crisis Russia tightens military grip on Crimea! News Video
Russia has tightened its military grip on Ukraine's Crimea region, taking de facto control despite Western demands that it withdraw.
Thousands of Russian troops are securing the region and further armour and ship movements have been reported.
The world's seven major industrialised powers have condemned Moscow's "violation of Ukraine's sovereignty".
Ukraine has ordered full mobilisation, issuing call-up papers and asking for more international support.
Russia says it is protecting its interests and those of Russian-speakers in Crimea and elsewhere in Ukraine following the ousting of pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych last month.
The crisis hit Russian stock markets on Monday, with Moscow's main MICEX index dropping 9% in early trading. The rouble fell to a fresh all-time low against the US dollar and Russia's central bank raised its key lending rate to 7% from 5.5%.
The BBC's Mark Lowen in Sevastopol says Crimea is now under de facto Russian armed control although no shots have been fired.
He says two large Ukrainian military bases are surrounded and key installations like airports are occupied.
Thousands of newly arrived Russian elite troops far outnumber Ukraine's military presence, he says, with roadblocks cutting off Crimea.

Ukraine's president says he has reached a deal with the opposition to end the crisis, after all-night talks mediated by three EU foreign ministers.
Viktor Yanukovych's statement said the agreement would be signed later.
However, the French foreign minister voiced caution, saying the deal was not definitive, and the opposition has not confirmed Mr Yanukovych's claim.
Protesters and police are still locked in a stand-off in Kiev, a day after dozens were killed in violent clashes.
Hours after Mr Yanukovych announced the deal, more violence was reported in central Kiev.
The police said they had traded gunfire with protesters, and Ukrainian media said riot police were patrolling inside parliament during a session.
The protests first erupted in late November when President Yanukovych rejected a landmark association and trade deal with the EU in favour of closer ties with Russia.
Thursday was the bloodiest day since the unrest began.
Police opened fire after protesters tried to push them away from the makeshift camps they have been occupying in central Kiev.
Amateur footage appears to show police hostages - wearing blue uniforms with black collars - being kept in a line by men in plain clothes in Kiev
The health ministry said 77 people had been killed since Tuesday, and another 577 were injured.
But activists suggested the death toll was likely to be much higher.

BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad ने Eknath Shinde Shiv Sena Leader Mahesh Gaikwad को थाने के अंदर मारी गोलियां
#ganpatgaikwad #maheshgaikwad #eknathshinde
