यूपी के रामपुर में लेखपालों ने सरकार को अपनी मांगों को लेकर हड़ताल पर जाने की सूचना सरकार को 2 महीने पहले ही दे दी थी. लेकिन सरकार ने लेखपाल संघ की मांगों पर कोई ध्यान नहीं दिया. लेखपालों को अपनी नौकरी करने में पेट्रोल, काग़ज़ातों की फ़ोटो कॉपी आदि कराने पर हर महीने लगभग पाँच हजार रुपये खर्च करने पड़ते हैं, लेकिन सरकार मात्र 100 रुपये साइकिल भत्ता.100 रुपये स्टेशनरी भत्ता देती है. लेखपालों को सरकारी क्वार्टर न दे कर मात्र 400 रुपये आवास भत्ता दिया जाता है. जबकि परिवार सहित किराये के रूम पर लेखपालों को चार हजार रुपये महीना खर्च करना पड़ता है. तहसीलों में लेखपालों के बैठ कर काम करने के लिये कुर्सी, मेज भी सरकार नहीं देती है. महिला लेखपालों के लिये भी शौचालय, टायलेट की सुविधा तहसीलों में नहीं है. जिसके कारण लेखपालों को बहुत समस्या होती है. नौकरी के दस साल पूरा होने पर सरकार लेखपालों का प्रमोशन करने के बजाय उनका वेतन चपरासी के बराबर कर देती है. जबकि लेखपालों को रविवार और सभी छुट्टियों में भी कोई अवकाश नहीं मिलता है।


बरहाल रामपुर ज़िले की सभी तहसीलों में इस वक्त लेखपालो का अनिश्चित कालीन धरना जारी है और लेखपाल अपनी मांगों को लेकर अड़े हुए है अब देखना होगा की सरकार इन लेखपालो की मांगों को पूरा करती है या नही. रामपुर से अफ़्फ़ान अहमद की रिपोर्ट.
