SPO killed, 2 other abductors freed in Shopian village
Srinagar, Nov 23 : Unknown gunmen on Friday night killed a former SPO, abducted among three persons from Reban village of Shopian in south Kashmir.
Those abducted persons, according to a police officer, included Riyaz Ahmad, Zahid Ahmad and Basharat Ahmad (former SPO). However the SPO was killed and two others freed, official sources told GNS.
They said that the bullet-riddled body of the SPO was recovered from Nikloora area.
A police officer also confirmed the incident and said that the body has been recovered and taken to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities. "A case has been registered in the instant case and further investigations were taken up".

Three suspected abductors apprehended near Garo Border
Based on a joint operation by Assam-Meghalaya Police on Sunday, the team apprehended three suspected abductors who were allegedly involved in abducting Nur Mohammad (25) of Rangapani village near Garo border on October 12 last.
As per reports, Nur Mohammad headed towards Garo Border with his tempo ML-08-1465 and was abducted by the suspected abductors identified as Salman Sangma, Tanang R Sangma and Sengjing Sangma.
The suspected abductors demanded cash Rs 5 lakh as ransom from the family members of the victim, later, they released him after receiving an amount of Rs 1.5 lakh.By The Sentinel News| 532 views

JAMMU LINKS NEWS | Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir SP Vaid on Saturday said that the police will deal those abducting forces personnel even as he said that policemen should take precautions to avoid any such incident.
Earlier, an SPO Mudasir Ahmad Lone was abducted by suspected militants in wee hours from Chan Kitar area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Lone, according to reports was posted as a cook in Reshipora Awantipora.
