इस चकाचौंध के बीच 100 साल पहले अपने शरीर को राम का मंदिर (Ram Mandir) बना चुके रामनामी संप्रदाय (Ramnami Community) की चर्चा कम हो रही है। छत्तीसगढ़ (Chhattisgarh) के रामनामी संप्रदाय के लोगों की आस्था राम की किसी मूर्ति या मंदिर में नहीं है। वह राम भक्ति के लिए अपने शरीर के प्रत्येक अंग पर ही राम का नाम गुदवा लेते हैं। वे अपने दिन की शुरुआत भगवान राम के भजन गाते हुए करते हैं। कई लोग इस संप्रदाय को भक्ति आंदोलन का हिस्सा बताते हैं, तो कुछ इसे सामाजिक और दलित आंदोलन से जोड़ते हैं। इस संप्रदाय के आरंभ की कहानी और इसकी परंपरा अनोखी है। पिछले सौ सालों से भी अधिक समय से, महानदी के किनारे हर साल तीन दिनों का, अपनी तरह का यह अनूठा भजन मेला लगता है. इस साल 21 से 23 जनवरी तक इस मेले का आयोजन किया जा रहा है. इन लोगों के शरीर पर राम नाम गुदा है ऐसे में राम का नाम न जले, इसलिए निधन के बाद रामनामी संप्रदाय के लोगों का शरीर जलाया नहीं जाता, उनके शव को दफनाया जाता है। 22 जनवरी को रामलला के प्राण प्रतिष्ठा समारोह के लिए भी रामनामी संप्रदाय को नयोता दिया गया है लेकिन इस साल 21 से 23 जनवरी ये लोग राम के मेले में व्यस्त होंगे जिसके चलते ये इस दिन यहां नहीं पहुंचेंगे

इस चकाचौंध के बीच 100 साल पहले अपने शरीर को राम का मंदिर (Ram Mandir) बना चुके रामनामी संप्रदाय (Ramnami Community) की चर्चा कम हो रही है। छत्तीसगढ़ (Chhattisgarh) के रामनामी संप्रदाय के लोगों की आस्था राम की किसी मूर्ति या मंदिर में नहीं है। वह राम भक्ति के लिए अपने शरीर के प्रत्येक अंग पर ही राम का नाम गुदवा लेते हैं। वे अपने दिन की शुरुआत भगवान राम के भजन गाते हुए करते हैं। कई लोग इस संप्रदाय को भक्ति आंदोलन का हिस्सा बताते हैं, तो कुछ इसे सामाजिक और दलित आंदोलन से जोड़ते हैं। इस संप्रदाय के आरंभ की कहानी और इसकी परंपरा अनोखी है। पिछले सौ सालों से भी अधिक समय से, महानदी के किनारे हर साल तीन दिनों का, अपनी तरह का यह अनूठा भजन मेला लगता है. इस साल 21 से 23 जनवरी तक इस मेले का आयोजन किया जा रहा है. इन लोगों के शरीर पर राम नाम गुदा है ऐसे में राम का नाम न जले, इसलिए निधन के बाद रामनामी संप्रदाय के लोगों का शरीर जलाया नहीं जाता, उनके शव को दफनाया जाता है। 22 जनवरी को रामलला के प्राण प्रतिष्ठा समारोह के लिए भी रामनामी संप्रदाय को नयोता दिया गया है लेकिन इस साल 21 से 23 जनवरी ये लोग राम के मेले में व्यस्त होंगे जिसके चलते ये इस दिन यहां नहीं पहुंचेंगे
