यूपी सरकार के मंसूबे को पलीता लगाने का बेहद चौकाने वाला मामला सामने आया है | मामला बिजली विभाग के अधिकारियों की उस करतूत से सीधे जुड़ा है जिसमे बिजली विभाग के जूनियर इंजिनियर और टेक्नीकल ग्रेड-2 के कर्मचारी ने महज चंद रुपयों की लालच में मंझनपुर विधान सभा की एक दलित बस्ती के 200 घरो की रोशनी बिजली गुल कर उनका 25 किलोवाट का ट्रांसफार्मर निजी नलकूप संचालक को बेच दिया | मामला सामने आने के बाद बिजली विभाग के अधिकारी दोषियों के खिलाफ कार्यवाही का दावा कर रहे है |
पूरा मामला कौशाम्बी के पश्चिम शरीरा थाना इलाके की दलित बस्ती राम भरोसे का पूरा से जुड़ा है | 200 घरो की दलित बस्ती को बीजेपी अनुसूचित मोर्चे के रास्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष व कौशाम्बी के सांसद विनोद सोनकर ने अपनी सांसद निधि से रोशन किया था | बस्ती के लोग अभी बिजली के बल्ब की रोशनी में अपने बच्चो के सुनहरे भविष्य का सपना देख ही रहे थे, कि बिजली विभाग के जूनियर इंजिनियर चन्द्रिका प्रसाद और टेक्नीकल ग्रेड-02 के कर्मचारियों ने सांसद निधि से दिए गए ट्रांसफार्मर का सौदा अपने निजी फायदे के लिए कर दिया | इतना ही नहीं दबंगई के बल पर इन दोनों बिजली के अधिकारियों ने बस्ती का 25 किलो वाट का ट्रासफार्मर खोल कर निजी नलकूप संचालक को दे दिया | गाव के लोगो ने इसकी शिकायत बिजली के बड़े अधिकारियों से की | जिसकी जाँच में मामला सही पाया गया |
