    നോട്ടുനിരോധനത്തിന്‍റെ രണ്ടാംവാര്‍ഷിക ദിനത്തില്‍ തന്‍റെ ഫെയ്സ്ബുക് ബ്ലോഗിലാണു നോട്ടുനിരോധന തീരുമാനത്തെ ന്യായീകരിച്ചു ജയ്റ്റ്ലി രംഗത്തെത്തിയത്. കളളപ്പണം കണ്ടുകെട്ടുകയായിരുന്നില്ല, മറിച്ചു കറന്‍സിയുടെ കണക്കെടുകയായിരുന്നു നോട്ടുനിരോധനത്തിന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യമെന്നു ജയ്‍റ്റ്ലി വിശദീകരിച്ചു. കള്ളപ്പണവും അഴിമതിയും തടയാനുള്ള സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ എല്ലാ ശ്രമങ്ങളെയും കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് എന്തിനാണു കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതെന്ന് ബിജെപിയും ചോദിച്ചു. അതേസമയം വയസ്, ലിംഗം, ജാതി, തൊഴില്‍ എന്നിവയുടെ വ്യത്യാസമില്ലാതെ ഓരോ പൗരനെയും നോട്ടുനിരോധനം നേരിട്ടു ബാധിച്ചെന്ന് മുന്‍ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ഡോ. മന്‍മോഹന്‍ സിങ് കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തി. നോട്ടുനിരോധനം ദുരന്തമായിരുന്നുവെന്നു സിപിഎം ജനറല്‍ സെക്രട്ടറി സീതാറാം യച്ചൂരി ആരോപിച്ചു. ‌കറന്‍സിയുടെ ഉപയോഗം കുറയ്‍ക്കുകയായിരുന്നു നോട്ടുനിരോധനത്തിന്റെ ഒരു ലക്ഷ്യം.
    എന്നാല്‍, അത് നടപ്പായില്ലെന്നു വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നതാണ് റിസര്‍വ് ബാങ്കിന്റെ കണക്കുകള്‍. നോട്ടുനിരോധനം നടപ്പാക്കുന്നതിനു തൊട്ടുമുന്‍പുള്ള 2016 ഒക്ടോബറില്‍ 2.54 ലക്ഷം കോടി രൂപയാണ് എടിഎമ്മുകളില്‍ നിന്ന് പിന്‍വലിക്കപ്പെട്ടതെങ്കില്‍ ഈ വര്‍ഷം ഓഗസ്റ്റില്‍ 2.75 ലക്ഷം കോടി രൂപയാണു പിന്‍വലിച്ചതെന്നു കണക്കുകള്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു. നടപ്പ് സാമ്പത്തിക വര്‍ഷത്തില്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സാമ്പത്തിക രംഗം കടുത്ത തകര്‍ച്ചയിലാണെന്നും കണക്കുകൾ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.

    നോട്ടുനിരോധനത്തിന്‍റെ രണ്ടാംവാര്‍ഷിക ദിനത്തില്‍ തന്‍റെ ഫെയ്സ്ബുക് ബ്ലോഗിലാണു നോട്ടുനിരോധന തീരുമാനത്തെ ന്യായീകരിച്ചു ജയ്റ്റ്ലി രംഗത്തെത്തിയത്. കളളപ്പണം കണ്ടുകെട്ടുകയായിരുന്നില്ല, മറിച്ചു കറന്‍സിയുടെ കണക്കെടുകയായിരുന്നു നോട്ടുനിരോധനത്തിന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യമെന്നു ജയ്‍റ്റ്ലി വിശദീകരിച്ചു. കള്ളപ്പണവും അഴിമതിയും തടയാനുള്ള സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ എല്ലാ ശ്രമങ്ങളെയും കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് എന്തിനാണു കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതെന്ന് ബിജെപിയും ചോദിച്ചു. അതേസമയം വയസ്, ലിംഗം, ജാതി, തൊഴില്‍ എന്നിവയുടെ വ്യത്യാസമില്ലാതെ ഓരോ പൗരനെയും നോട്ടുനിരോധനം നേരിട്ടു ബാധിച്ചെന്ന് മുന്‍ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ഡോ. മന്‍മോഹന്‍ സിങ് കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തി. നോട്ടുനിരോധനം ദുരന്തമായിരുന്നുവെന്നു സിപിഎം ജനറല്‍ സെക്രട്ടറി സീതാറാം യച്ചൂരി ആരോപിച്ചു. ‌കറന്‍സിയുടെ ഉപയോഗം കുറയ്‍ക്കുകയായിരുന്നു നോട്ടുനിരോധനത്തിന്റെ ഒരു ലക്ഷ്യം.
    എന്നാല്‍, അത് നടപ്പായില്ലെന്നു വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നതാണ് റിസര്‍വ് ബാങ്കിന്റെ കണക്കുകള്‍. നോട്ടുനിരോധനം നടപ്പാക്കുന്നതിനു തൊട്ടുമുന്‍പുള്ള 2016 ഒക്ടോബറില്‍ 2.54 ലക്ഷം കോടി രൂപയാണ് എടിഎമ്മുകളില്‍ നിന്ന് പിന്‍വലിക്കപ്പെട്ടതെങ്കില്‍ ഈ വര്‍ഷം ഓഗസ്റ്റില്‍ 2.75 ലക്ഷം കോടി രൂപയാണു പിന്‍വലിച്ചതെന്നു കണക്കുകള്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു. നടപ്പ് സാമ്പത്തിക വര്‍ഷത്തില്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സാമ്പത്തിക രംഗം കടുത്ത തകര്‍ച്ചയിലാണെന്നും കണക്കുകൾ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.
