DBLIVE | 16 August 2016 | Congress Promises Quota For Uttar Pradesh's Most Backward Classes
कांग्रेस ने यूपी चुनाव में जातियों के राजनीतिक समीकरण को समझकर अपना दांव खेल दिया है। कांग्रेस ने ओबीसी के 27 फीसदी आरक्षण में अति पिछड़ी जातियों के लिए अलग से आरक्षण कोटे की घोषणा की है। कांग्रेस अति पिछड़ों के आरक्षण की मांग अपने घोषणा पत्र में शामिल कर राज्य में सरकार बनने पर इसे मूर्त रूप देगी। कांग्रेस उपाध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ने कांग्रेस मुख्यालय में यूपी से आए अति पिछड़ी जातियों के करीब डेढ़ सौ प्रतिनिधियों के बीच आरक्षण की घोषणा की। इस दौरान राहुल ने कहा कि पिछड़ों में तमाम ऐसी जातियां जैसे नाई, बढ़ई, तेली, गड़रिया, पाल, बघेल मल्लाह, कहार आदि हैं जिनकी पहचान उनके पेशे से जुड़ी हैं, लेकिन बदलते वक्त, तकनीकी युग में वो और पिछड़ गए हैं और अपनी पहचान खो रहे हैं। ऐसे में जरूरी है कि उनकी अस्मिता की रक्षा की जाए। पिछड़े वर्ग की कुछ जातियों को ही आरक्षण का पूरा लाभ मिल रहा है। हमारा मकसद है कि पिछड़े वर्ग के हर नागरिक को आरक्षण मिले। कांग्रेस ने दावा किया है कि अगर यूपी में उनकी सरकार बनी तो वह इस आरक्षण को छह महिने के अंदर लागू कर देगी।-
