नई दिल्ली। साउथ इंडिया की चर्चित मोटिवेशनल स्पीकर और शिक्षिका सबरीमाला जयकांतन ने इस्लाम अपनाकर अपना नाम फातिमा रखा है। अभी वह मक्का मुकर्रमा में उमरा करने गई हैं।
मक्का की अपनी पहली यात्रा पर फातिमा सबरीमाला ने कहा, “मैंने खुद से पूछा कि दुनिया में मुसलमानों के खिलाफ इतनी नफरत क्यों है? मैंने एक तटस्थ व्यक्ति के रूप में कुरान पढ़ना शुरू किया। तब मुझे सच्चाई का पता चला। अब मैं खुद से ज्यादा इस्लाम से प्यार करती हूं।”
“एक मुसलमान होने के लिए यह एक महान विशेषाधिकार और सम्मान है।” इसके बाद शिक्षिका ने मुसलमानों से सभी को कुरान पेश करने का अनुरोध किया।
उन्होंने कहा, “आप लोगों के पास एक अद्भुत ‘पुस्तक’ है, आप इसे अपने घरों में क्यों छिपा रहे हैं। दुनिया को इसे पढ़ना चाहिए।” उन्होंने कथित तौर पर यह मक्का में कहा।
सबरीमाला का जन्म 26 दिसंबर 1982 को मदुरै में अलगघरसामी और कलैयारसी के घर हुआ था। उन्होंने जयकांतन से शादी की और उनका एक बेटा है जिसका नाम जयचोलन है।
सबरीमाला ने अपनी शिक्षा डिंडीगुल, तमिलनाडु में की, और 2002 में कुड्डालोर जिले के कट्टूमन्नारगुडी के पास एलेरी स्कूल में एक स्कूल शिक्षक के रूप में शामिल हुईं। उन्होंने सरकारी स्कूल शिक्षक के रूप में अपनी नौकरी यह कहते हुए छोड़ दी कि राष्ट्र उनकी नौकरी से अधिक महत्वपूर्ण है।
मोटिवेशनल स्पीकर के तौर पर सबरीमाला दो हजार से ज्यादा स्टेज पर रही है। वह 200 से अधिक प्लेटफार्मों पर एक पैनल स्पीकर रही हैं और वेंडर टीवी, न्यूज 7 टीवी, जया टीवी आदि पर कई टीवी कार्यक्रमों का संचालन करती हैं। वह कहती हैं, उनके भाषण व्यवसाय के लिए नहीं बल्कि सामाजिक परिवर्तन के लिए हैं।
