Solan (Himachal Pradesh) : Survey are conducted continuously on the status of children's education in the country. So that basic education of children studying in schools of the country can be assessed. In the same sequence, in the year 2017 also, National Achievement Survey (NAS) conduct was conducted by SCERT Delhi through SCERT established in the states. After this, the survey is also being conducted in the year 2021. In this, it will be ascertained that there is some improvement in how the level of education of children is there, or that the level of education has dropped. This work is being done in nine states of the country in collaboration with UNESCO Institute of Statistics (UIS). NCERT is organizing a policy linking workshop to set the benchmark for reporting the percentage of learners in a country requiring UNESCO Global Minimum Proficiency Label. This workshop is being conducted in selected 9 SCERTs of the country including SCERT Solan. SCERT Head Coordinator and two teachers of Mathematics and Hindi are participating in this workshop lasting till 20 March. This workshop is being conducted on the bandland mode. In this, UNESCO teams, NCERT team and SCERT team are participating. It is being told how to feed the database in linking. State Coordinator Shiv Kumar Sharma at State Educational Research and Training Council, Solan said that this program is being done keeping in mind the National Achievement Survey which is going to be held in the month of November.
