Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) : A Tata Sumo driver, while overtaking, hit a bike rider coming from the other side on the super highway near Tatahar village under Sarkaghat sub-division of mandi distt in himachal. The Sumo driver fled from the spot after hitting him. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed here. However, the bike rider did not suffer much in the accident and he stood up on his own. People present on the spot came forward to help the bike rider and he was taken to the hospital. On the other hand, after getting information about this from Sarkaghat police station, the police reached the spot and started action. Later the Sumo driver himself accepted his mistake by coming to the police station and due to mutual agreement between the two parties, no legal action was taken. SHO Sarkaghat Inspector Rajesh Thakur has confirmed the matter. He said that a mutual settlement has been reached between the two sides.
