    കെ.എം.ആര്‍.എല്ലിന്റെ ഓപ്പണ്‍ ഡാറ്റാ ഇനിഷ്യേറ്റീവിന്റെ തുടര്‍ച്ചയാണിത്. ഗൂഗിള്‍ മാപ്പിലെ ആധികാരികമായ വിവരങ്ങളിലൂടെ യാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്ക് മെച്ചപ്പെട്ട യാത്ര സാധ്യമാവുന്നു. അതിലൂടെ കൂടുതല്‍ യാത്രക്കാരെ കൊച്ചി മെട്രോ സേവനങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ലഭിക്കുമെന്നാണ് പ്രതീക്ഷയെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.നേരത്തെ മെട്രോ ട്രെയിന്‍ സമയവിവര പട്ടികയും യാത്രാനിരക്കും ജിടിഎഫ്എസ് ഫോര്‍മാറ്റില്‍ കെ.എം.ആര്‍.എല്‍ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. വിവരങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും ലഭ്യമാക്കുക എന്ന ഉദ്ദേശ്യത്തോടെ ആദ്യമായാണ് ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ ഒരു മെട്രോ ഏജന്‍സി ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു നീക്കം നടത്തിയത്. ജനറല്‍ ട്രാന്‍സിറ്റ് ഫീഡ് സ്‌പെസിഫിക്കേഷന്‍ എന്നതിന്റെ ചുരുക്കമാണ് ജിടിഎഫ്എസ്. വിവിധങ്ങളായ സോഫ്റ്റ്​വെയര്‍ ആപ്ലിക്കേഷനുകളിലൂടെ യാത്രാവിവരങ്ങള്‍ അറിയാന്‍ കഴിയുന്ന ഫോര്‍മാറ്റാണിത്. കെഎംആര്‍എല്ലിന്റെ ജിടിഎഫ്എസ് ഫീഡ് ആണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഗൂഗിള്‍ മാപ്പ് വഴി ലഭ്യമാക്കുന്നത്. ഡെല്‍ഹി മെട്രോ, ബാംഗ്ലൂര്‍ മെട്രോ റെയില്‍ കോര്‍പറേഷന്‍ എന്നിവയും ഗൂഗിള്‍ മാപ്പ് വഴി യാത്രാ വിവരങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കിവരുന്നുണ്ട്.
