India (IND) are set to host South Africa (SA) in the second ODI match at ISCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on Sunday. South Africa won the first match by nine runs to take a crucial 0-1 lead in the three-match series. Rain delayed the first match and reduced to a 40-over game in Lucknow. South Africa managed to score a big total of 249/4 in 40 overs with the help of unbeaten fifties from David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen. For India, Shardul Thakur took two wickets and Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav grabbed one apiece.

The surface at Ranchi Stadium frequently helps the hitters because bowlers, especially pacers, have a difficult time getting traction here. Of course, as we saw in Lucknow, spinners may have some help as the game develops since the pitch will become a little slower. Instead of opting for a chase, the team that wins the toss may prefer to bat first and set up a strong total to put the opponents under pressure.

India drew level in the three-match T20I series against England after a dominant performance in the second match of the series, defeating the hosts by eight wickets in Derby. The visitors chased down a target of 143 with relative ease on the back of Smriti Mandhana's sparkling unbeaten 53-ball 79.

The hosts suffered the same fate that their opponents did in the first game after putting up a par total on the board. The result sets up a thrilling finale in Bristol on Thursday, and the fans will be hoping for a more even contest in the final match after two one-sided matches in the T20I series so far.

    Pitch Report:
The surface at the County Ground in Bristol offers one of the better batting conditions in the country as the pitch remains even throughout the match with a hint of movement for the pacers. The last three matches at the venue have been won by the team batting first, and the team winning the toss will likely follow the route of setting a big target.

The ODI series between India and South Africa stands at 1-1 with both teams having won a game each. The visitors took an early lead when they won the first game, but the hosts bounced back stronger and balanced it out by winning the second game at Ranchi on Sunday evening (October 09).

If India win the series, it will be a big achievement for the players as Shikhar Dhawan led a rather inexperienced side against a comparatively experienced Proteas side. While the Men in Blue look to carry the winning momentum, the visitors would look to repeat the heroics from the first game in order to win the series by 2-1.

The Arun Jaitley Stadium, formerly known as the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium, in Delhi will be a good surface for batting but there may be some dew. Australia v New Zealand | 2nd ODI | ODI Series | Match Stats and Preview

Australia put the disappointment from the Zimbabwe series behind them after securing a narrow victory in the low-scoring thriller against nemesis New Zealand in the first ODI at Cairns. The hosts saw a miraculous recovery from Alex Carey (85) and Cameron Green (89*), who stitched a sixth-wicket stand of 158 runs to draw first blood for the Aussies in the prestigious Chappell–Hadlee series.

New Zealand posted a below-par tally on the board after batting first in the match, but their seam bowlers, especially Trent Boult, made the total look insurmountable, reducing the hosts to 44/5. But it wasn't to be for the visitors, who are yet to get over the line in an ODI on Australian soil since 2009.

    Pitch and conditions
The Cazaly's Stadium in Cairns had been devoid of international cricket for years, before making a sizzling return in the first ODI as the pitch had enough for all participants in the game. The new ball is likely to trouble the batters once again, and the team winning the toss will like to chase on the pitch, which gets better for batting in the second innings.

    Playing Combinations AUS vs NZ
    Australia

Although Australia triumphed over their fierce rivals in the series opener, the poor form of the top order remains a concern. Aaron Finch didn't have the best of time in the Zimbabwe series, and his dry spell with the bat was extended in the first ODI. He needs to perform and perform quickly, or his place in the squad won't be guaranteed with the mega ICC event on the horizon.

Predicted XI: Aaron Finch (c), David Warner, Steven Smith, Alex Carey (wk), Marnus Labuschagne, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood

    New Zealand
Trent Boult and Matt Henry were exceptional with the ball, but unfortunately, they did not receive enough support from the other bowlers as the Kiwis look vulnerable with the older ball. Michael Bracewell and M

India Women v Sri Lanka Women | T20I Series | Match 1st | Match Preview | Stats Preview

England is set to host India for a bilateral series comprising three T20Is, followed by as many ODIs. The first T20I is scheduled for September 10 at Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street in Durham. While the Women in Blue will be led by their regular skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, the English side will be under Amy Jones’ captaincy. After the demise of Queen Elizabeth II, it was decided that cricketing activities would continue in respect of The Queen.

Natalie Sciver had been serving as the stand-in skipper ever since regular captain Heather Knight was ruled out of the international setup owing to her injury. But the all-rounder decided to pull out of the upcoming series to focus on her mental health and wellbeing, and as a result, Amy Jones has been named the captain for the T20Is.

Both the Indian team and Team England were last seen in action during the Commonwealth Games 2022 where India ended up as runners-up in the historical tournament, with Australia clinching the gold. England had lost their semi-final fixture to India and they ended up fighting for the bronze medal against New Zealand, but things did not go their way and they could not get a podium finish.

India has a very strong 17-member squad for the T20Is, and interestingly Kiran Navgire received her maiden international call-up. It would be interesting to see if the Nagaland player gets her debut cap. Renuka Thakur will be the player to look out for as she had the finest outing during her entire CWG 2022 campaign where she ended as the highest wicket-taker of the tournament.

As for England, Lauren Bell is likely to receive her T20I debut cap as she has been very impressive in white-ball cricket, especially in the league and franchise-based games. She rose to fame during the first season of The Hundred Women last year, and her consistent performances got her a place in England’s ODI and Test teams. She is backed with another good season of The Hundred and it would be i

After winning the ODI series against Zimbabwe, Team Australia is set to face a tougher opponent in the form of New Zealand. Both teams will take on each other in a three-match ODI series slated to start on September 6 (Tuesday).

Talking about both teams' recent performance, as mentioned above, the Men in Yellow won the ODI series against Zimbabwe, but they had to suffer a humiliating defeat against the same opponents in the third fixture.

New Zealand, on the other hand, won the ODI series against West Indies recently and the visiting team will be looking to emulate their performance against Aaron Finch's team. Both teams have already announced their squads for the fixture and it is going to be an epic contest between the two giants of the game.

Here are all the stats & approaching milestones you need to know ahead of the first game of the series.

    Pitch and conditions
A pace-friendly wicket is expected at the Cazaly's Stadium, Cairns with pacers looking to exploit the conditions with the new ball. Skipper winning the toss might want to have a bowl first and chase the total later on.

    Australia:

A similar side that played in the Zimbabwe series is expected to be fielded by the home team. Skipper Aaron Finch who failed to get going in the final match of the series will want to have a good outing with the bat.

After facing a heart-breaking defeat in the T20I series, India started the ODI series on a high note by bagging a seven-wicket win at the County Ground in Hove. The Women in Blue now need just one win to seal the series, and they would be looking to achieve that early, without taking the series into the final decider game.

Valiant efforts from Jhulan Goswami with the ball, and comprehensive batting efforts from Smriti Mandhana, Yastika Bhatia, and Harmanpreet Kaur helped India clinch a victory. On the other hand, Alice Davidson-Richards and Danni Wyatt showed some composure with the bat in the first innings, which helped England post a competing total.

India v South Africa | ODI Series | 3rd ODI | Match Preview | Stats Preview

The ODI series between India and South Africa stands at 1-1 with both teams having won a game each. The visitors took an early lead when they won the first game, but the hosts bounced back stronger and balanced it out by winning the second game at Ranchi on Sunday evening (October 09).

If India win the series, it will be a big achievement for the players as Shikhar Dhawan led a rather inexperienced side against a comparatively experienced Proteas side. While the Men in Blue look to carry the winning momentum, the visitors would look to repeat the heroics from the first game in order to win the series by 2-1.

    IND vs SA Pitch Report

The Arun Jaitley Stadium, formerly known as the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium, in Delhi will be a good surface for batting but there may be some dew. The boundaries are not exceptionally large, and the outfield is also somewhat quick. The pitch here used to be favorable for spinners, but over recent years, it has undergone significant modification.

Likely Playing Combinations AUS vs NZ

    Australia:

A similar side that played in the Zimbabwe series is expected to be fielded by the home team. Skipper Aaron Finch who failed to get going in the final match of the series will want to have a good outing with the bat.

David Warner, Aaron Finch (c), Steve Smith, Alex Carey (wk), Marcus Stoinis, Cameron Green, Glenn Maxwell, Ashton Agar, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood

    New Zealand:

Senior batter Martin Guptill is expected to play a crucial role for his side in the upcoming match against Australia. Guptill has been in good touch lately and he will look to emulate his good form against the strong-bowling Australian side.
