વિકાસના દાવા વચ્ચે પડ્યા ગાબડા, દૂધેશ્વર વોટરવર્ક્સની ટાંકીનો સ્લેબ તૂટ્યો
કરવેરા ભરતા નાગરિકોના આરોગ્ય સાથે ચેડા કરવાની ગંભીર અને અક્ષમ્ય બેદરકારી બહાર આવી છે. અમદાવાદ મ્યુનિસિપલ કોર્પોરેશનના અધિકારીઓની અક્ષમ્ય બેદરકારીનો પર્દાફાશ કરવામાં આવ્યો છે. એકબાજુ સરકાર કરોડો રૂપિયા ખર્ચ કરીને ઉત્સવો ઉજવી વિકાસના મોટા મોટા દાવા કરી રહી છે. પરંતુ બીજી બાજુ નાગરિકોના જીવ જોખમમાં મૂકાઈ રહ્યા છે. બીજી બાજુ કોર્પોરેશનના અધિકારીઓ કેવી બેદરકારી દાખવી રહ્યા છે. દૂધેશ્વર વોટરવર્ક્સમાં આવેલી અન્ડરગ્રાઉન્ડ ટાંકીના સ્લેબમાં ગાબડા પડ્યા છે. જે અત્યંત ગંભીર બાબત હોવા છતા અક્ષમ્ય બેદરકારી દાખવવામાં આવી રહી છે.
પતંગોત્સવ, કાંકરિયા કાર્નિવલ અને વાઈબ્રન્ટ ગુજરાત જેવા કરોડો રૂપિયાના ખર્ચ કરીને સરકાર તાયફાઓ કરી રહી છે. તાયફાઓ કરીને વિકાસના મોટામોટા દાવા કરાઈ રહ્યા છે. પરંતુ વાસ્તવિકતા એ છે કે તાયફાઓમાં વાહવાહી મેળવતા અને સરકારના છૂપા આશીર્વાદ મેળવનાર સરકારી અધિકારીઓ કેવી અક્ષમ્ય બેદરકારી દાખવતા હોય છે. તેની સાબિતી આપતી ઘટના અમદાવાદના દૂધેશ્વર વોટર વર્કસમાં જોવા મળી રહી છે. દૂધેશ્વરના વોટર વર્કસ હાઈલી રીસ્ટ્રિક્ટેડ એરિયા છે. જ્યાં સામાન્ય નાગરિકોને પ્રવેશ આપવામાં આવતો નથી. પરંતુ ચોંકાવનારી બાબત એ છે કે અન્ડરગ્રાઉન્ડ ટાંકીના સ્લેબ પર મોટું ગાબડું પડ્યું છે. જે ગાબડું દિવસે દિવસે મોટું થતું જાય છે.
ચારેબાજુ વનરાજી અને ઝાડ-છોડ-ઝાંખરા હોવાથી ઝેરી સાપ સતત ફરતા રહે છે. કૂતરા પણ વોટરવર્ક એરિયામાં રખડતા જોવા મળે છે. ચોંકાવનારી બાબત એ છે કે ગાબડાના કારણે કોઈ પશુ, કોઈ વ્યક્તિ કે સાપ જેવા જીવજંતુ ટાંકીમાં પડી જાય તો.તેનો કોહવાયેલો મૃતદેહ વેક્યૂમ થઈને ઉપર ટાંકીમાં જતો રહે. મૃતદેહના અવશેષો પાણીમાં ભળી જાય. જે દૂષિત પાણી લોકોના ઘર સુધી પહોંચી જાય તો ભયાનક રોગચાળો પણ ફેલાય તેવી દહેશત નકારી શકાય તેમ નથી. વોટર વર્કસની પાછળ રહેતા લોકોના ઘરોમાં અવારનવાર ઝેરી સાપ-નાગ પહોંચી જાય છે. અન્ડરગ્રાઉન્ડ ટાંકીના સ્લેબ પર ગાબડા અંગે વારંવાર રજૂઆતો કરવા છતા અધિકારીઓ કોઈ ગંભીરતા દાખવતા નથી.
ચોંકાવનારી અને સનસનીખેજ બાબત એ છે કે ખખડધજ સ્લેબ પર જીવના જોખમે કર્મચારીઓ મજબૂરીવશ તેમના જીવને જોખમમાં મૂકી ફરજ બજાવી રહ્યા છે. જો કર્મચારી ફરજ દરમિયાન ગાબડાના કારણે અંદર પડી જાય તો તે કલ્પના જ ધ્રૂજાવનારી છે. તાયફાઓ પાછળ કરોડો રૂપિયાના ખર્ચ કરનાર સરકારી તંત્ર પાસે અન્ડરગ્રાઉન્ડ ટાંકીનોBy Khabarchhe| 527 views
