The story of Lovely, an 11-year-old from Salapur Kalan, Uttar Pradesh began when she aimed to reach for the stars. A little nervous but with dreams in her eyes, Lovely came forward to become a participant of Girl Empowerment Mission 2023 at NTPC Dadri.
Through various training sessions on academics, extracurricular activities and personality development, Lovely found a place to expand her wings and fly in the sky. With sky as the only limit, here she narrates her story, a journey of change.
Girl Empowerment Mission, a flagship initiative of NTPC, has been a stepping-stone towards success for hundreds of girls like Lovely.

NTPC Ltd the country’s largest power generating company, unveiled its Safety Mascot ‘KAWACH’ to enhance the culture of safety across the organisation.
Safety Mascot ‘KAWACH’ represents NTPC’s firm belief in workplace safety. It symbolises NTPC’s constant endeavour to provide a safer working environment and strive for zero incidents at work. With this mascot, NTPC aims to be the ‘KAWACH’ for all its employees.
The Brand Mascot also lives with NTPC’s sentineling commitment to building a strong relationship with all its stakeholders.
Mascots have great power to communicate what the company believes in and stands for. ‘KAWACH’ will remind us all the time about the important aspect of having a safe work culture.
Recently, at the 45th Raising Day celebrations, Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC Ltd unveiled the Safety Mascot KAWACH in presence of other senior NTPC officials.

Bhumi Pednekar recently appeared in the comedy Thank You For Coming and the film invited some extreme reactions from the viewers. While some praised the film for its bold concept, some shamed it for that. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar, Bhumi spoke about the latter group of people and slammed them for the shaming. She expressed her disappointment towards people who didn’t criticise the film but its intent. The actress discussed the prevalent gender bias and how people never took offence when she was a part of such stories told from a male perspective. She pointed out how Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 was supported by the same people who shamed her film, when somewhere they dealt with the same subject. Bhumi revealed if not getting any support from women within the industry disappointed her. She highlighted the hypocrisy of the situation that people accept objectification of women but have a problem with them talking about their sexuality. You can watch the entire conversation here.
