Mohan Babu (born Manchu Bhakthavatsalam Naidu on 19 March 1950) is an Indian film actor, director, and producer, known for his works predominantly in Telugu Cinema. An alumnus of the Madras Film Institute, Mohan Babu has acted feature films in lead, supporting and a variety of roles. He produced eighty feature films under his banner, Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures.
In 1995, he received Filmfare Best Actor Award for his work in the multi-starrer Pedarayudu, which also starred Rajinikanth in a pivotal role. In 2007, he received the CineMAA Award for Best Supporting Actor for his work in Yamadonga.[5] Mohan Babu was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley for his contribution to the field of cinema and education.
