Joseph organized a series of purges from 1936 to 1939, known as the 'Great Purge'. Under his guidance, the USSR military carried out 39,488 executions from August 1937 to November 1938 alone. Anyone who spoke against the political rule or refused to fight against the German forces were killed without going through any judicial process.     On July 25, 1966, Boeing took the first step of building the world's largest commercial aircraft, the 747 airliner. Its President, William M. Allen asked to begin the construction of the biggest factory in Everett, Washington to build the 747. The humped upper deck makes it one of the most distinctive aircraft in the world and it was the first wide-body produced. Originally, the 747 was known to have the capacity of carrying two and a half times more than that of Boeing 707, the renowned commercial aircraft of the 1960s.
