An idol of Goddess Annapurna, stolen from Varanasi about 100 years ago was retrieved from Canada recently. The Central Government handed over the idol to Uttar Pradesh Government on November 11. The idol will be installed at Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi on November 15. “Today, the idol of Maa Annapurna will be taken to Uttar Pradesh. UP Government will take out a four-day Mata Annapurna Devi Yatra to Varanasi.
