eSIM market
According to a report, the #eSIMmarket will grow by “an impressive” 249% in the next four years, as consumers are set to increasingly adopt eSIM-enabled smartphones as they become widespread. A company’s valuation includes revenues from connected device and sensor eSIM module shipments (hardware), and platform revenues from connected device and sensor eSIM management.
For most people who already have a physical SIM in use, switching to an eSIM will not make much of a difference. However, those worried about the privacy and security of their SIMs can switch to eSIM to lock their identification with their smartphones in case of theft.
Apple is expected to launch such devices in markets across Europe this year where eSIM technology is seen as key to tackling the “time-consuming establishment of roaming agreements within the fragmented European telecommunications market”.
The trend shows that Apple is not all alone in abandoning physical SIMs. Manufacturers, such as Samsung and Google, are also working on equivalent eSIM-only smartphones running the Android OS.
Experts suggest that industry bodies must work closely with the Chinese government to develop specifications that allow eSIM support whilst addressing requirements for device monitoring and tracking.
eSIM is going to disrupt the telco market. According to the research, the widespread adoption of eSIM will shake up the telecoms market – and operators need to be prepared for the impact.
Despite operator concerns regarding the disruptive impact of eSIMs on existing business models, growing support from smartphone manufacturers will place additional pressure on operators. In response, service providers must support eSIM connectivity to avoid subscriber attrition as technology awareness increases.

As per Capgemini Research report, ‘What Matters to Today’s Consumer,’ reveals the impact of an increased cost-of-living on consumer spending habits and preferences. The report indicates that while retail organizations continue to navigate disruptions there is a need to transform operations to meet changing consumer expectations of affordable products and pass on cost benefits to customers.
Most consumers (61%) are concerned about their financial situation and nearly three-quarters of consumers are cutting back on non-essential purchases during tough times and the purchasing behaviours are also changing. From its survey of 11,300 consumers in 11 countries, the report found that nearly three-quarters (73%) of consumers are making fewer impulse purchases, while 69% are cutting back on non-essential expenses such as electronics, toys, and dining out, as well as delaying the purchase of luxury items. Saving money is top of mind for many people, with 64% of consumers buying products from hypermarkets and discount stores and 65% buying cheaper private-label or low-cost brands.
There’s an opportunity for retail businesses to dramatically reimagine their operational strategy in order to weather this storm and pass on price benefits to consumers. By identifying new revenue streams, creating new markets, transforming operations, and optimizing costs, businesses can succeed without compromising on sustainability or overall customer experience and “Harnessing technology for intelligent demand planning, inventory management and automated operations can not only help reduce costs and maintain margins, but also yield sustainability benefits for organizations.”
Going forward, Retailers are going to rethink operational strategy for cost reductions, sustainability, and experience. 5G services started in India

the roll out of 5G services in India the subscribers of both Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel will not require to replace existing sim for availing 5G services. Jio has said that its customers will continue to avail 5G services under “Beta trial” until the network coverage of a city is substantially complete.
The company has promised access to unlimited 5G data with speed of up to 1 gigabit per second. However, it will continue to remain in the range of 200-300 mbps after full roll out.
This means a two-hour high-definition movie which is generally around 6 GB file size can be downloaded in 1 minute 25 seconds and a 4K movie in about 3 minutes at a top speed of 600 mbps. Customers buying 5G handsets or having a 5G-enabled handsets will see 5G option in their network setting and they will need to select it for availing the service.
The mobile network display on their device will start showing 5G instead of 4G when 5G will be available in their locality. 5G will democratise computing power.
If you have a 5G device, whether it's a phone or a computer, you want to run an application that requires a lot of computing power. 5G will provide that connection to the cloud (computers) that allows you to tap on demand the computation of the cloud as if both were the same computer.
Going forward, the Mobile devices power consumption will go up with 5G usage as more cloud-based applications like gaming will start. Fortunately, there is the availability of a high-capacity battery along with a fast-charging facility already in the market. A report said that 5G is expected to account for nearly 40% of all subscriptions by 2027 in India.

The Indian crypto exchange WazirX fired 40% of its staff. A total of 50 to 70 employees of the 150 workers at the exchange were asked to go, CoinDesk reported. The laid-off employees were informed that they would be paid for 45 days and that they would no longer be needed to report for work.
Looking ahead to October, Wall Street is focused on inflation, interest rates and the forex market. Economic uncertainty in the U.K. sent the pound tumbling to new lows against the U.S. dollar in late September.
As new tax rules have forced many crypto enthusiasts to maintain distance from the cryptocurrency industry, India’s adoption rate of cryptocurrencies is likely to drop at a concerning rate in the second half. India may lose the no. 1 status in Asia’s top cryptocurrency market as 30% capital gains tax came into effect in India’s Crypto Market.
The US is expected to come up with the crypto regulations and the Biden White House released its first framework outlining the future of U.S. crypto and digital asset regulation in September.
