સુરત મહાનગર પાલિકાની પોલ ઉઘાડી પાડતો વીડિયો સોશિયલ મીડિયામા વાયરલ થયો છે. કરોડોના ખર્ચે બનાવેલા જીલાની બ્રિજમાં કૌભાંડની આશંકા વ્યક્ત કરવામા આવી છે. બ્રિજના નિર્માણમા વપરાયેલા મટીરીયલ્સને લઈ જાગૃત યુવાનોએ પાલિકાની કામગીરી સામે શંકા ઉભી કરી છે. સુરત મહાનગર પાલિકા દ્વારા બનાવવામાં આવેલા બ્રિજમાં સિમેન્ટની જગ્યાએ રેતી અને માટીનો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવ્યો છે. કરોડો રૂપિયાના આચરેલા આ કૌભાંડનો ભાંડો નાગરિકો દ્વારા ફોડવામાં આવ્યો છે. આ બ્રિજ બનાવામાં બે વખત કરોડો રૂપિયાનો વધારો કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. હવે આ કરોડો રૂપિયાનો વધારો બ્રિજને મજબૂત બનાવવામા માટે જ વધારવામાં આવ્યા હતા કે પછી મહાનગર પાલિકાના અધિકારીઓના ખિસ્સા ભરવા માટે? મ્યુનિસિપલ કમિશનર આ બ્રિજ કૌભાંડના મામલે સંડોવાયેલા અધિકારીઓ સામે કાયદેસરની કાર્યવાહી કરે છે કે નહીં એ જોવાનું બાકી રહે છે.
